Saturday Morning on Demonland (3)
After many years we finally had a bit of luck this year . Our best 22 played most of the year due to lack of injury and drop in form . Some players just bloomed (Fritch jacko, kossie , anb ,)and others just clicked with there team mates ( petty stepping up in the defence after losing Tommo) While others sacrificed their supercoach numbers for the team like Gus . Maxxys kick after siren not only gave us top spot , we got the advantage of choosing venues playing in adelaide vs lions . Doggies losing last 3 games forced them to do the Leyland brothers in finals.By finishing top we also had choice of Perth hotel and did not have to move out. All good for team stability . Also some sides we were expecting to play in finals never got there . Tigers losing martin was pivotal . He is a game changer .

2021 Player Reviews: #5 Christian Petracca
Hid the norm smith after being presented with it , wanted to be the same as the other 22 players and not stand out. Says a lot about the guy and how team oriented he is. Matured as player like others in last 2 years

Melbourne Football Club 2021 season redux
Agree Other than the Gc and the adelaide wins near the end , we never smashed offensively . Our Defence won the games . We also kicked badly in some games . Doubt our average winning margin was more than 3-4 goals Come finals . We smashed offensively .

https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/afl-investigates-nixon-for-allegedly-selling-forged-demons-premiership-memorabilia-20211010-p58ys0.html The AFL is investigating claims former player agent Ricky Nixon allegedly sold forged memorabilia commemorating Melbourne’s breakthrough premiership while purporting to raise funds for charity. Nixon sold footballs said to feature the autographs of Demon premiership players, advertising them on his Facebook page afterlast month’s grand final. However, The Age has spoken to four Dees fans, who purchased one or more of the balls from Nixon, all of whom believe the signatures have been forged. Nixon advertised the balls for $575 each plus $20 postage. At least 20 Melbourne supporters are said to have taken up the offer from Nixon, who claimed that at least some of the funds were going to charity. Basking in their new premiership glow, the fans were keen to get their hands on this souvenir. But concerns over the legitimacy of the signatures soon arose. One warning sign came when a fan spotted that forward Charlie Spargo had supposedly signed his name with a No. 8, even though he wears No. 9.

Hope the families of those we have lost too early in last 20 years have opportunity to hold the cup in a quiet situation.
