So anyone at training?
If they were they are avoiding derailing the sniping thread with actual training information.:)

Fair to say Macca doesn't sugarcoat anything - http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2017-01-19/list-update-vince-viney-and-wagner Vince has 'some life in him left' sounds like a 1977 Valiant Charger.

The original Mr Biffen was a Biffin, not Biffen, I believe.

no no - segwaying is acceptable...
derailing - is when i call you an old codger and you call me a know nothing who can't add 2+2.
Is pedantry OK? If so, segwaying is acceptable if spelled segueing.

I love that with the beard you can't actually see if Maximus has gone the black tie or open top button.

Bombers will at least want MFCs 2nd round pick around #30. We should grab Hibberd and the Bombers 4th round around # 58.
We have a great euchre hand - two Jacks who deserve to play AFL football but can't force their way into the firsts. It could be an honourable win win.

We certainly look like having one of the hardest edge sides going around, in the not too distant future.
Bloody hell that's great after the decades of being among the softest.
And how we enjoy memories of Brock Mclean and the 'bruise free football' quote.

Agree - disposal by foot is already superior to his big brother's
and he is not restricted to running in straight line. He is the goods and will just get better,

I, m up there as far as age goes with other demonland members on this site and are just speechless. One thing Dawes v Pederson argument over
Might come close to matching you for age and could not agree more. Competed harder, marked harder, led better and fought on desperately on the ground. Deserves another match.

Just back for a short break. Couldn't get to the game but watched whilst babysitting grandkids. They learned some new adjectives, verbs and nouns!
What a win.
Surely, some adverbs as well. Fxxxing in the right context is an adverb.

Better than the 50's. We were expected to win then.

So 2 emergencies remain in contention after tonight's Casey game - Newton and Dunn. I don't recall us keeping 2 guys out of Casey as emergencies in recent games (when Casey has played before our AFL round). Is there a conspiracy theory brewing here?
Someone has to give Maximus a chop out in the ruck and Dunn has done it before. (I didn't say well but he does contest and body up)

jetta, dead set unlucky. bont coming in from behind, jetta raises arms in self defence instinctively, followed by gold logie bont performance
how that could be classified as intentional is crazy. would seriously consider appealing (except for port game risk)
Speed of the dive could have made Italian soccer team jealous.

jetta classified as "Intentional" i would have thought careless. intentional would be if he lined him up. looked more like a reflex
If it was intentional he'd still be down. Defensive reflex - his best attribute!

Are you saying this is what he feels or what he needs?
Cause i think either way its a TERRIFYING thought!
Defence link. Vague memory it was no 1 in the defence forces going into battle faves.Foonote: at my age all memories are vague.

I love his passion but his frustration kills it, doesn't get back into position after a point is kicked either. I would not drop him yet, I hope the coaching staff know how to tame the beast, maybe music i have heard that works

Out Hogan ...... Needs to able to kick a min of 2-3 goals a game at the G. Let him go and get some confidence back at Casey monstering VFL defenders. That's where he got his hunger from before he started so well last year. He thinks he is an automatic selection each week. Thinks he has the club over a barrel with all the media hype over his contract . Apart from the saints game I have not seen anything this year that shows me he is worth the money that is reported he can earn. His kicking lacks penetration and before all the Jessie lovers get stuck into me, just answer this question , who would you rather have kicking for goal in a final from 48m out on an angle to win the game for us at the G. Watts or Hogan?
I'm with you but for a different reason. Dropped mark in forward pocket (not a sin itself; everybody drops them occasionally) but then stood there flatfooted sulking, no pressure or effort while the doggies ran it out again. Needs to go back, get confidence and get some defense and repeat effort into his game.

And a big thanks from me too. Mrs Greybeard and I both kitted out with new shoes. Broader sizes were available in some of the line items so our misshapen feet happily accommodated. Brilliant delivery time and no issues. Thanks again for the sponsor generosity; that was a deep discount.
Any smart RRs comments re Mrs Greybeard and broad kindly keep to yourself. Social capital budget for the year is already expended.

I probably will be ridiculed but I reckon Garland and maybe Grimes will come in, if they do well at Casey.
No ridicule here. I think Oscar and Garland would have added more than a flat footed Lumumba and slow undersized Dunn. Grimes for Bugg no argument. We need to increase our OOB on the full count.
Maybe I should go have a glass of red instead of posting after watching that. Ommmmmmm

Sam Frost is special, and not in a good way.
That's a potential defender without the instinct to be a forward. How far out was that miss from?

Nice. Sorry to go off topic but I've been waiting all week for a headline of "AFL to drop draws on Grand Final day". Apologies if this has already been published and I missed it.

Melbourne raffle
in Melbourne Demons
Posted
I received the same approach as reported by others and have now received ticket and letter from Rod Grinter as Chairman MFC Past and Present Players and Officials Association. No real interest in the prize but I guess we could round up 24 guests from Demonland.
