Yes they often miss lateral or 45 options but it's also a result of some forwards not working hard enough (repeat efforts) to hit up at the ball carrier. This same thing purveys alot when players are bursting out of stoppage through the middle or off a wing. The leads from designated forwards often go missing. They are somehow expecting fatigued player to kick it over the head of their defender as they run away from them towards goal. Alternatively a player at stoppage receiving or gathering under pressure then having to dump kick. Often forwards sit back in this situation allowing their direct opponent or a spare to play in front for the easy intercept. See this quite often at senior level too. One of my bug bears. Very frustrating to watch.

Moniz prolific ... ends up with Bill who hits Sesto lace out on the lead. Sesto hits a shorty to Windsor who goes back amd misses from 30 in front Sandy by 2 points

Riccardi a stellar game so far. That goal in the 3rd was very special. Something you don't see alot of from the big fellas much nowadays.

Much prefer watching VFL (Casey) now D17. The umpiring there is at least a pass mark most weeks and i don't have to put up with "enter the sandman" pre match type rubbish plus the gound MC voice blaring in my ears at every single break. Its old school footy and just pure footy watching the boys develop and hone their skills / craft plus see how some of the seniors are doing post injury / recovery. It's also an easy get in terms of parking and price (or no cost using the membership) as the case may be. The food is basic but reasonably priced or you can just take your own stuff with you. Most games are also during the day, making the standard fairly reasonable without the greasy / slippery ball stuff that you get at night time matches. Of which we seem to play alot of! Add to that the ever increasing cost, no cash accepted nonsense, AFL fixture / start up club bias, the constant "it's this week or that week build ups" and it all adds up to a big turn off for me now. The AFL is sucking the life and enjoyment out of the big stage stuff now.

100% Cranky. This is why players like Moniz end up moving on and potentially getting a gig at senior level elsewhere. They play their hearts out over and over including some performances that warrant a call up in a few consecutive matches. Experienced fringe player comimg back from long term injury and trying to build some fitness / form then plays a few games without doing much at all, looking somewhat disinterested but somehow gets a recall. Selection integrity is an integral part of a club's culture. Unfortunately it hasn't been there for us of late. Very dissapointing decision. Surely Choco is seeing the inequity here?? Would be great if he could speak up and highlight this. No doubt Richo is on the SC but if Choco isn't also there advising of Casey players' form and fitness he should be imo.
