  1. Most important records to break next year: 1. Winning 2 games in a row. Until we break this embarrassing record we will never go anywhere 2. Beating North Melbourne Because I hate their guts
  2. And actually the noise from the crowd and the atmosphere was brilliant I was particularly fond of the deadly silence every time GWS kicked a goal, or the booing. It was a nice touch.
  3. The only Essendon player I'd go near is Zaharakis- clean from the drug saga and quick Plus one less player to have destroy us every single time we play Essendon
  4. In some weird way, the "bad" win yesterday makes me more confident that we can win 2 in a row than ever before We seem to get carried away with good wins and come out flat the following week. Maybe this week is the week!
  5. I'm not saying I believe it blindly But on form Howe should have been dropped a loooong time ago.
  6. I heard today from someone who knows Cam Pedersen that Jeremy Howe is gone Begs the question why the f he keeps getting a game (and yes he played well today)
  7. What's with the "where will he fit" talk? He's an A grader, we will make him fit!
  8. I have no idea why people are so harsh on Garland? He performs consistently, he is a good user of the football, he goes hard and gives his all week in week out He has gone through the same hell as a lot of the other players, and has stuck it out. He's had a decent season, and it's beyond me why people would want him gone Howe on the other hand, can take his speccie highlight reel and back the truck out!
  9. I think we can safely assume that Terlich is getting delisted given he hasn't once cracked in for a game, not even when our injury list was a complete mess Apart from him, I wouldn't assume anything. Matt Jones bring more than Ro Bail in my opinion because of his supreme leg speed and also his inside ability. He isn't great, but as far as depth goes, he probably will give you more than pick 98 in the draft
  10. Haha this is so good. And you captured me so perfectly, since despite vowing that I won't watch our game while I'm away, I just paid $15 so I can watch it on my last day in Thailand. Seriously, it better not rain!
  11. Will never forget that 9 goal half against Collingwood. Awesome seeing Wiz, Davey & Robbo out on the field. Those were the days.... Brad Miller is still in mint condition
  12. Ok we are both wrong. We got pick 57 not 53 and with that we picked Hunt.
  13. Didn't we take JHK with pick 53? #winning
  14. Tyson + Salem = massive win. Tyson is a star. 10+ clearances, 2 goals. Gun.
  15. If you want to watch something great, do yourself a favour and watch Prisoners of War. It's the show Homeland is based on (Homeland is amazing, but doesn't come close to this show), and is about to start filming its 3rd season. I watched the entire 2nd season in one weekend. Season 2 starts on SBS this week, and season 1 is available on DVD. If you love suspense, drama, and watching people getting beaten up, watch it.
  16. Well at the very least the ALP have taken over as the most shambolic organisation in this country. Well done MFC! P.S.- it's my turn to bring morning tea to our team meeting on Friday, and bananas are looking very unappealing at the supermarkets. My whole plan is ruined. Oh well, the pricks don't pay me enough to feed them as well!
  17. Yes I was there and yes I saw plenty of Melbourne supporters around me cheer his substitution. It was also another appalling move by Neeld who has methodically destroyed his confidence and toyed with him.
  18. Can't blame him if he wants a fresh start. When our own supporters are so pathetic that they cheer when he gets subbed off, and our coach is such a stubborn moron that he berates him before he even steps foot inside the rooms, then proceeds to play him like a yo-yo, what do you expect? I'd want to get the [censored] away from this basket case too if I had a limited time frame to have a successful career and I've been treated with such contempt. This club is a joke. My anger and disgust towards it makes me ashamed, but I can't help it. Look at what the [censored] is going on around us!
  19. I didn't see her write an article about the increasing number of schizophrenic, neurotic, psychotic Melbourne members? She must have been reading a different forum, because the only thing you gauge by reading Demonland is insanity.
  20. Would be funnier if we poached Whitfield. Oh the laughs!
  21. It's time for T$ closure. It's time for JV to smash him a good one next year, and we can all laugh and move on having dodged the biggest bullet of all time.
  22. Well he can [censored] right off then.
  23. Officially walked out of GC. Show him the money!!!
  24. Absolutely. I had a chat to him at the end of last season and his confidence was shot. He was saying that his poor form was due to not having any consistency in his role, having played everywhere during the year, including Casey where he was given different roles but never told to replicate them at AFL level. We've seen what that sort of thing can do. Watts is a perfect example of that. I get as annoyed as anyone when Morton has brain farts, and I made it abundently clear earlier in the year. Nobody expects us to just slap him on the arse and say "no worries" when he stuffs up, but it goes both ways. We need to applaude his good work and I for one thought he was excellent in the first half. What dumb footy commentators pick on are turnovers. What I saw was a guy who was busting his gut to run into position, when most others were stagnant. Neeld doesn't seem to have a lot of time for players who don't do the right thing, yet he kept Morton on the ground all game. That says to me that he saw beyond the turnovers, and so should we.
  25. Good on you. Ever played AFL at the highest level and been booed by 30,000 of your own fans? [censored] off with this hero behaviour. You have no idea what you would do in that situation. I bet you'd want to run away. At the end of the day we lost because we lost the plot in the first quarter and there was no coming back from that. It was not Morton's fault, just as nobody here is blaming Green for missing goals, or Sellar giving away a free for holding, or Jamar handballing into the hands of his opponent. It was one horrible turnover, and Morton more than payed for it.
