  1. I agree, and he will likely be a late out. But they won't give Melksham the emergency position for his 200th, so the real question is, who drops out?
  2. I have a feeling we won't risk Ed. Too important and no point playing him if he's in considerable pain. Melksham will get his 200th instead. It will be out Dunstan in Viney. Bedford the sub yet again.
  3. Nah. Big chance for a premiership medal though I hear.
  4. He is a bozo. Complete deflection tactics from a coach of a side everyone tipped will play off in another granny and they are miles off it.
  5. Incorrect. Too many teams struggling and taking away from an already shrinking talent pool doesn’t make for a better competition.
  6. Imagine what they would be saying if we could kick straight.... "peaked too early".
  7. Everyone needs to stop feeling sorry for other clubs. The weaker other clubs are, the better positioned we are. I sat next to enough arrogant North fans on Saturday to know that when we are down the bottom again they won't show any mercy towards us. The way they tried to physically attack us during the game, knowing full well they couldn't win on skills, talent or execution, just shows you the sort of club they are.
  8. See also pre season 2021 versus Dogs. We got “destroyed” then closed a 50 point game to lose by under a goal without most of our backline playing half arsed footy. Pre season games only matter to clubs that have something to prove.
  9. Classic peaking in May syndrome. We haven’t even got to 70% of our true output. Bring it on.
  10. He was being “tagged” by his best mate Simpkin. Extra motivation to do well I reckon. Bad move from Norf.
  11. He is a flawed footballer who should be dropped to Casey. I’m sick of his [censored]. 3rd! Pfft rubbish.
  12. One day soon Sparrow will be able to take on more inside midfield minutes and we might have the luxury of resting Clarry forward. Given he’s a good mark I suspect he might then start impacting the scoreboard.
  13. Best news ever on Ed.
  14. Langdon training, even moderately, is fantastic news. Hopefully he won’t be out for long. I never ever thought we would see Salem before the Bye. He will need at least one week at Casey to get some match fitness and we won’t risk him in the slightest. We can’t afford a re-injury or a soft tissue injury (which he has had history with) now.
  15. I agree but it also was not our home game, so realistically put that on North fans not Dees fans, who outnumbered the home team 3 to 1 anyway!
  16. It’s a mental thing. One day he will kick 3 straight in a game and he won’t miss again for the rest of the season. He is in his own head. His reaction to missing simple shots is one of utter devastation.
  17. Cracked ribs is an incredibly dangerous injury that could lead to punctured lungs. While I completely agree that we need to protect the head and avoid concussion, accidental injuries will occur all day every day in footy. If you’re going to punish accidental head injuries why aren’t you going to punish accidental rib or shoulder or knee injuries which occur in a tackle? Chandler didn’t mean to hurt his opponent. Thomas sure as hell did.
  18. ****rn Norf. Hope they spend the rest of eternity at the bottom of the ladder. Bunch of thug hacks.
  19. Would have been better if Carlton and Geelong lost.
  20. Further proof that the AFL care only about concussions and other bodily harm is totally fine. Chandler breaks Foley’s shoulder and he’s free to play. Ed gets concussed and Thomas gets weeks.
  21. Last year showed that we clearly play better against top sides. We have played 2 sides currently in the 8 and beat them both comfortably. We also beat Hawks and GC who have given some top sides a real wake up call. Bottom teams set themselves up to play us hard and it works for like a half. Top teams will play their own game, as the Saints did, and we will prove to be as good or better than them.
  22. It’s a disgrace we didn’t win every game by 100 points if you ask me. We won’t make the 8 from here.
  23. [censored] yes!!!! Well done Hawks
  24. Anyone who says GWS are doing a better job against West Coast than we did needs to look at how many goals they’ve conceded to WC. Double the score from last week already.
  25. Hawks doing well. Hopefully they keep it up.
