Can’t I just hate her for telling me all game that Jackson is auditioning for West Coast? Firstly, that’s dead straight offensive to him. He doesn’t need to audition he’s good enough for them to want him. Secondly, maybe he’s playing well because he’s a good player who wants his side to win? Also I’m glad she kept reminding me he is from Perth and loves Nic Nat. Really added to the enjoyment of the game. He looked shattered. Poor guy. Totally accidental.

But as you say you’ll support it as a second team and that’s half the problem. Everyone in Tassie already has a team. Would you drop Melbourne to barrack for the Tassie side? No you wouldn’t. Do you know many others who would? Eventually you’ll have kids barracking for them organically but it’ll take years and success to make it happen.

I wouldn’t be shocked if we closely manage the on field minutes of our star players. Hence I wouldn’t care if we win by 6 goals, avoid injuries, and reduce the load on Clarry, Trac, Gawn, Lever and Langdon. Perfect opportunity to also try and tweak the things we haven’t been happy with.
