Why play the best side in Geelong when you’re gonna have to play them at the G come finals? Then again Geelong has been all about making finals and doing stuff all while there for a while now.

If there is one thing in life I can’t handle is losing to Geelong. The fire of a thousand suns is not as burning hot as my hatred of the Geelong Football Club, it’s coach, it’s player or it’s dumpy stadium filled with hick supporters. Please let’s destroy these *insert 190 different swear words*

I literally can’t stand him. Rationally he might be great for us. Irrationally I want to throw up at the thought of this man lining up in red and blue.

I actually think their midfield is average. Their forwardline is their strength.

Can you really compare playing backup ruck at VFL level to AFL? Besides Weideman doesn't play a full time ruck role, he was playing with Majak as the primary ruck. And I meant he has good hands in the packs and at ground level. He is not good in the air. That is his biggest failing and the reason why he is in and out of the side, he can't impact aerial contests.

How can you compare their game? Weideman played first ruck against a proper recognized experienced ruckman. It is a foreign role and he battled manfully. Did you expect him to win the hit outs? Would you expect Walker to win the hit outs versus Gawn? It’s just unrealistic. I think Weideman was quite good at ground level. He has good hands and is a smart user of the footy. Where he annoys most I think is his inability to impact an aerial contest.

A couple of things. Brown is too nice. He gets man handled in contests and he doesn’t protest. He needs to start playing for frees a little and exaggerate contact like basically every other key forward does and get some frees his way early in games. No way Naughton or Hawkins get defended the way he does without multiple frees. The second major issue for me is his goal kicking. He’s been way off and if he nailed his shots the last month nobody would question his form as he would have multiple goals per game.

I mean I guess they weren’t sure if he could get through it?

Not watching either. Watching a movie but following the scores. My husband had enough football for today. Insisted we watch something more palatable

Immense win without a ruckman and really missing a quality tall. Our midfield is a beast.
