My understanding, and I could be wrong, is that if we trade for Mihocek rather than get him for free via free agency, then it won’t dilute the Spargo compensation.

If the Pies want May, then it would be to our benefit to involve him in a trade for Mihocek, to not dilute the compensation we will get for Spargo. Not that I think the compensation will be great, but could be enough to get White for example. Of course Pies will need to actually trade us something for May, and they can then throw Mihocek into the mix. It seems like they won't get any compo for him anyway given his age.

Max is a smart man. He knows how to increase the trade value of his teammates 😉 And he also hates Tom Morris, as everyone associated with the club does.

I think if you can't see that Trac wants to leave, then you are being either very naïve, or you just don't want to believe it because you love him as a player. Those are valid reasons, but they don't make the reality different. Trac was desperate to leave last year, and the club came out and strongly said no. This year, neither party has refuted the rumours, because both have reached an understanding that if a suitable deal can be reached, then Trac will be elsewhere next season. If you think he doesn't need to respond to every rumour, you would be correct, but when you're a highly regarded player who made a huge mess trying to leave your club last year, and the rumours are still persisting, then you shut them down if they are not true.
