  1. Tom McDonald is an elite reader of the footy. You can't be a "not so smart" player and be an elite reader of the play. The only downside to Tom is his disposal by foot, which we know goes from acceptable to diabolical. But his decision making is very good, and any player capable of playing forward, ruck and back in the space of 4 weeks, is a smart player!
  2. Who do you think had a less influential game yesterday?
  3. I loved the post match follow up. That made me laugh!
  4. He's easily the worst performing player of the last 2 games for us. If his name wasn't Lewis, we'd be calling for him to be dropped. I find his lack of intensity more disappointing than his iffy ball use to be honest. He is a clever player, and his leadership is great, but gees his chasing and tackling is pretty [censored] poor!
  5. If they drop Pedo I'm torching the place down. Pedo is a must in the team! I rather not risk Jones and Watts this week, when this is probably our least winnable game for the next 6 weeks! Not saying we can't or shouldn't win, but if they go over and their injury worsens and they end up missing 3-4 weeks, that would be a massive blow. I'd be conservative on both, and while Gawn is back, resting Watts for a week won't be as crucial. Pedo can play permanent forward, and maybe Tom can as well, especially if Kennedy isn't back.
  6. I thought you were gonna say, we need all the Melbourne supporter we can get...
  7. In: GAWN! Out: unlucky player A Celebrate good times come on!
  8. Win a premiership, hell win a final, then get cocky. It's a non issue coz they're friends and there was nothing in it, but it's unnecessary. Let the scoreboard do the talking!
  9. I'm starting to sweat about my Sept 18th holiday.... ?‍♀️
  10. What an amazing 4 quarter effort. Defensively we were phenomenal. And offensively we smashed them. Tom McDonald was amazing in the ruck, and the backline was faultless. Best 12 possession game you'll ever see from Jetta. If he's not in All Australian contention the competition is a joke. Hard to fault anyone today but I would like Bugg and Harmes to learn to kick set shots! P.S.- after pulling out last minute from attending the North game, today was another one for the perfect winning record when the boyfriend turns up to watch us play...now to work out a way to drag him along to every game...
  11. Couldn't see the Hunt injury for this far up. Did it look like he popped the shoulder?
  12. Bugg is the sort of player that if he played for another team I would hate his guts and to be honest I borderline don't like him now because he is such an arrogant player with no skills to back it up. Very very impressed with Oscar! Great game all around. Exceptional tackling pressure from us and some good forward entries. Hannan in the middle has been good. I'm not confident but maybe that's just MFCSS?
  13. Thank god. A ruckman! Neal Bullen or Harmes out are my guess. No other changes
  14. Stretch is the only player with serious future potential on the list. They'd literally slam the door in our face if we offered any of the others. We also don't have a lot of currency if we want to trade future picks, as I think most clubs will bank on us finishing top 8 next year. I would love Lever, and believe we are one KPD away from being a serious premiership threat, but I don't think we have much to trade, and since he isn't a free agent, it could get tricky!
  15. Doesn't lose enough contest one on one to tackle? Still should tackle more, but I think the plan for him is to get ball and attack, rather than play a more shut down role.
  16. I don't care enough about Essendon to know for sure, but all I know is my friend who is a die hard Essendon supporter was devastated to lose him! He said at the time he'll be in our top 5 best players, and I lol'ed and told him to get stuffed because Essendon just want to rip us off. Now every week all I do is curse him for Melksham and thank him for Hibberd. He hates me.
  17. I hope he flipped them the bird and told them their day release was up! They are the scummiest bunch of low life losers going around. It's ok for them to hackle and abuse, including racially abuse players, on a regular basis, but they can't take a little bit of their own medicine the other way. Have a sook and enjoy 11th spot you [censored]!
  18. Because he is an 'almost player'. Almost kicked a goal, almost hit a target, almost cost us the game by giving away a dumb undisciplined 50m penalty. Bugg is not the sort of player I see in our premiership team, Stretch is. I would drop Bugg ahead of Harmes because I like the pace Harmes bring. Or we could drop Melksham, but I know that won't happen so why bother.
  19. The bitter tears of Collingwood adds a delicious cherry on top of the victory ice cream!
  20. I feel like a broken record saying this literally every week. He brings so much more than Bugg and Harmes and Melksham! We must bring in a ruckman. Don't care if it's Spencer or Gawn (obviously prefer Gawn but I think they won't risk him). This no ruck situation has ruined our forward structure. Can't go too tall down back either so I'm sorry but Oscar you're out In: Spencer/Gawn, Stretch out: Oscar, Bugg Tom back to the backline, Pedo forward/ruck, happy days. Edit: if they drop Pedo I'll lose my [censored]! Pedo is best 22 right now. No doubt about it!
  21. I've been sitting in the same stand for near on 12 years. First time ever every single supporter got out of their chair and was jumping around. It was seriously the most pure moment of joy I've felt from our supporters in my time.
  22. Wagner and OMac play totally different roles, how you can compare the two I don't know. Case in point Wagner was dropped for Salem in the half back attacking flanker role. And they played OMac for some of last season because we knew Dunn and to a certain extent Garland were not in our future plans and we needed to develop some options, and with Frost injured for most of the year, he was our only option. I have great faith in his ability to become a very good solid defender, but he is simply not yet ready to be that great player we need him to be, but the experience he is gaining is great and he is improving. IMO when Max and Hogan are back, Oscar will be the one dropped and dominating some VFL games would actually be great for his confidence, as was yesterday's second half. You haven't suggested who you would drop to make way for Hogan and Gawn?
