Very Jaded

For anyone who hasn’t posted here long, this is the only poster on Demonland with a 100% strike rate and credibility. Take everything else with a big grain of salt. Keep us posted Chook.

Just had a baby. Probably wants a longer term contract than we are willing to offer. More likely to get to the midfield with the Saints, which apparently is something he wants. Good luck to him. I think he can be a handy player for them and I hope his body holds up.

Plus he has a nasty foot injury. We know how those go.

Delusion.

There are only 3 players, who if they left our club, I would be heartbroken and cry over. They are Oliver, Gawn and Gus (Viney and Jetta not included as I just assume they would never leave). Hogan is a very good player. Of that I have no doubt. If he stays we are still able to improve our list and we maintain a very good player. But if he leaves, I hope we maximize his value to improve our list.

Well done Cam. Got everything out of himself and literally plugged every hole this team ever had. All the best!

Can’t stop players from wanting to leave. Is he an absolute fool for leaving a club who has done so much for him and is a major flag contender in the new few years to go to a garbage club with no game plan and a terrible coach? Yes. Should we milk him for all he’s worth and extract maximum value out of Freo’s pathetic and never ending desperation to land him? 100% I am all about improving our club. I want him to stay but he if wants to go, let’s make our club better as a result. I back the club to get it done.

Just seems like a total waste of energy to discuss something that isn't going to happen. Please yourself I suppose.

It makes sense. Even if we play 2 rucks in half the games, or give Gawn 2-3 games off each H&A season, it has to be a better option than flogging a half dead horse to the finish line. Gawn was spent on Saturday. He has rucked solidly for 26 weeks. It is far far too big an ask. Not to mention that he has only managed 2 injury-free seasons in his entire career. What a risk if he goes down.

3 things: 1. You don't trade key position talent - who was the last club to voluntarily trade a proven key forward? 2. No decent forward wants to go to Freo. Their game plan sucks. Not even Buddy would kick goals for them. 3. Unless somebody has solid evidence that Hogan is not happy or wants to head back to WA, can we please stop discussing trading him, as this will not happen.

Not alone. But is also not the future. 2019 is his last year.

And lets not forget that Tmac is 26. He was hot garbage when he first started playing. Big man take a LONG time to develop. Jesse and Weids are already 10 times better than most KPFs their age. I would not contemplate moving either for any price, unless they were desperate to leave.

Meh. I would be perfectly happy to save our cash, and go all out for Kelly at the end of next year, and with a 1st round pick (pick 18?!) at our disposal. Gaff is not going to be the difference between winning a premiership or not. He is a good player, but as ProDee said, he wants to play inside mid and we have plenty of equal or better options than him already.

Petracca needs to spend an entire week getting counselling to get over his mental fear of kicking goals. His set shots this year have been an absolute disgrace.

The love for that fat man baby Ablett from the commentators. What a joke. Yes he’s been a superstar but he was crap last night. He isn’t a champion everytime he lays a tackle. Seriously!

Our forward pressure was insane. We will go a long way to winning next week if we replicate that performance AND nail those scoring opportunities.

Finally watching the replay. First 15 minutes of the second quarter were absolutely dominated by us. We controlled the play but sadly missed way too many opportunities, some due to poor kicking and some due to rushing our kicks inside 50. If we cleaned this up we would have won by 10+ goals, such was our dominance.

Jetta is marvelous. He is just a rock. I never leave a game disappointed in how he’s played. I never worry when he’s in a one on one contest. I never fear he won’t go hard when it’s his turn. He is just the greatest.

Not a captain’s [censored] is Joel Selwood. Selfish self entitled little whining sook. M Massive error this one. Killed all their momentum. Hawkins losing his shot on goal as a result too, couldn’t have happened to a nicer [censored]. I couldn’t sleep and I feel hung over. Didn’t even drink. Worth it.

Tigers are getting Lynch for a reason. Big forwards win games and most importantly finals. Yes Tigers and Dogs did it with just one key forward, but it’s an anomaly in a game with a 160 year history. You need big forwards and we are lucky that all of ours are mobile. I was also so impressed with how Weids was rucking. Really gave us a good chop out and gives Max more time to float down back or rest forward. Everything is coming up Weideman!

Just another lazy 30 for Oliver. Leading possession winner. First final. 21 years old. Whatever.

The pre match said to me everything I already suspected. We are a team. Geelong are a bunch of “look at me” egotistical douchbags.

Finally home. I’m so emotionally drained. It hasn’t fully sunk in yet. I’m gonna enjoy the replay tomorrow. I must say Lewis was outstanding tonight. The man can play finals!
