Jaded No More

As much as it pains me to say it, he is our match sealer. Very good goal kicking and has been good playing wing and half forward this season.

Gus was my highlight. Sucking for two quarters was my lowlight. Another game another heart attack. Cheers Melbourne. Season is still alive and that's all that matters.

Goodwin dropped Salem and replaced him with Wagner who can't tackle and can't kick. Wtf?! And Watts is soft as butter but at least he's ready for AFL. Weids is so far off.

Typical Melbourne. And we want to make finals. Lol. These players want to drink Bintangs in September. They are not interested in being winners.

Garlett went back to WA again this week didn't he? Maybe personal issues are affecting him? Not making excuses, just wondering. Trac looks tired. He and Oliver must be hanging for a week off!

If watching Jones winning a flag for us doesn't move you to tears, you aren't even a Melbourne supporter. Nobody will deserve a louder cheer than Jones. Followed closely by whichever genius coach breaks this premiership drought.

They have us on the rebound when we turn it over. A few times they streamed into goals and were able to pick loose man in their forward 50 which is disappointing. Overall though we are playing a lot better faster tougher footy. Tackling is better although Wagner just totally shat himself on the wing before Gus came in to help. Speaking of Gus, what a highlight! The kid is a star.

Harsh dropping Maynard, I thought he was pretty good. Wagner is an ordinary replacement for Salem/Frost to be honest.

Agreed. Back injuries are awful! Not even Viney could play through that.

Is a bulging disc and a slipped disc the same? Because I had a slipped disc last year and it was one of the worst injuries I have ever experienced. It was so debilitating, I couldn't even lie down without pain. I have no idea how he is even playing with that type of back injury.

He is clearly too good for VFL. The VFL time was about using the techniques he's been taught on leading with the head and gaining confidence. He's obviously ticked those boxes and if not selected this week, he must be close and the club is trying to motivate him to keep pushing. Cannot wait to see him back out there.

Glad we are making a statement. Time to stand up and make this season worth while. Super disappointed in Frost and Watts in the last 3 weeks. Salem obviously isn't delivering to instructions. Good to see Goodwin push this side to be better.

Very few positives to come out of yesterday. The only ones for me were Maynard's debut and Gawn showing glimpses of his old form back. Sadly our midfield was all at sea yesterday and last week. That is why we lost, we struggled for effective clearances and our spread was non existent. They made us look like a slow second rate team. I was disappointed that Goodwin didn't try something different after half time. Salem, Hunt or Garlett on the wing to give us some pace and run would have been great. Instead he put Tom in the backline, even when we had the wind advantage so we lost our only effective forward. It was a dumb strategy.

Oh god has Joel Smith really done an ACL? Gees we can't catch a break. Great news for Gus. Time to bring him in.

And just like that we are 10th. Great work Melbourne. Taking disappointment to new levels!

I reckon Melksham will get suspended and that's the only change Goodwin will make. Stretch in maybe?

Been very good. Slick hands, smart ball use, strong in the contest. Nice signs in what has been a midfield demolition.

So many players totally unsighted today. Jones, Hunt, Garlett, Trac. Hard to win with such a massive lack of effort from so many of our better players.

Maynard been impressive. Pity the rest of the team has played like wooden spooners.

Gees Mumford is a fat piece of [censored] isn't he? If only he fell on Scully, broke Scully's leg and his own simultaneously that would be pretty great.
