  1. If we don’t play finals this year, it is an enormous failure. That’s two seasons we have wasted in crucial development of getting finals experience. Barring anymore disasterous injuries, if we don’t make the 8 again, questions will need to be asked. Coaching staff, leadership team etc will need to be reviewed. Simply not acceptable.
  2. Cannot continue to ignore players in good form at Casey, because ‘big name’ blokes can’t get dropped. Trac is only still in this side because of reputation. Had Harmes or Neal Bullen been stinking it up this bad, everyone would be out for blood. And they’d be on their arse in the VFL. It is time to go to Casey for a nice little period and stop thinking you’re undropabble. Also please learn to kick goals good.
  3. About time. We needed it then when we were in major debt and playing like crap anyway. Now it is impacting our ability to succeed on the field, which is priority #1. Time to go.

Roos like Jackson didn’t leave. He effectively retired, which is very different. I don’t think Melbourne would let another CEO meddle in the footy department. The problem at Collingwood is that everyone felt entitled to get involved in the footy department because their president did. How can a president except the CEO not to get involved when he is so deeply and destructively involved, I don’t know. We have a very different set up and a very different structure. I have no doubt when given the job, Pert was told his KPIs revolve around revenue, membership, sponsorship and finding a permanent united home base.
  5. About to have a kid. Understandably wants some stability for future. If he wants to stay and get a good deal he has 11 games to prove he’s worth it. Otherwise I think we should facilitate a trade.

Whenever someone in a senior position leaves any job, there is always some bad blood somewhere. Otherwise why leave? Anyone who has ever left a job usually feels some animosity towards their former employer and vice versa. I am very comfortable with this appointment and I trust both our board and the AFL. If Pert did a lot wrong they wouldn’t endorse his appointment. We have come too far and they don’t want us to become a basket case again! Trust me, they have enough issues with the likes of GC. Now let’s build a home base, get a better fixture and get rid of the NT deal.
  7. Good luck to him. Enjoy Fritsch. Move on.
  8. Needs to reset. Perhaps dominating a game or two at Casey will do him good, and remind him that his spot in the side isn’t a given, which I feel he might think is the case. With a few players knocking on the door at VFL it’s unfair to let players who are down on form keep their spot based on reputation. Then what incentive do guys at Casey have to perform?
  9. I am far from his biggest fan but he wasn’t even close to our worst today. Our midfield sucked hardcore today. 18 clearances down. Nothing the backline could do, including Lewis. He was ok under enormous pressure. The loss today comes down to the midfield group who couldn’t get it and couldn’t use it. How TMac kicked 6 is amazing to me.
  10. Probably worth more to us than what we could get for him in a trade. That said he may want more opportunities.
  11. Is he too old for rising star?
  12. Loved how the commentators were saying in the first 10 minutes “oh Oliver hasn’t touched the ball yet”.... 10 minutes later, oh he has 9 touches ?‍♀️?
  13. Good opportunity to learn from the best ruck in the competition. One day we will need to replace Gawn.
  14. I don’t care for all you wet blankets. I love Masterchef and I love Melbourne. I can’t wait to watch it tonight to the subtle background groans of my boyfriend who thinks everything I watch on tv is garbage.
  15. Assume they will announce Tom and Oscar signing together?
  16. Amen. Slow bodied and slow minded. He can get the ball and he can use the balls. He is just a slow and often dumb decision maker.
  17. I am so so happy for him. He is seriously good and just needs some continuity. Well done Gussy!!
  18. He is an inside mid. He can get the ball fine, in fact he is some what of a ball magnet. But unless he is in tight contests getting clearances, his disposal is too much of a liability. For me he is better than Harmes as an inside mid because we know he can get heaps of clearances. I have no idea what Harmes can do as an inside mid, as I am yet to see him do much. An inside mid of Brayshaw, Oliver, Viney and Tyson is pretty damn good, and allows our better ball users in Trac and Salem to play more outside roles where they can hit up forward targets.
  19. Quoted for truth #Jettaforpresident
  20. Talk about twisting my words. He is very calm and uses the ball well. He has beaten every opponent so far (take away Brown’s dodgy frees and he had 1 kicked on him), and has been our most consistent performer this year. Lets appreciate his improvement and not compare him to players that don’t need comparison
  21. Great debut. Did not look out of place one bit.
  22. Has been fantastic. Never panics. Good with ball in hand. Super consistent. Never in doubt. Even was he was fresh and everyone called him a spud because they are impatient, he showed some good signs of being calm under pressure and a good reader of the player. Will be a solid FB for years to come! Need to sign up him and Tommy stat.
  23. Need to play as an inside mid. We were getting destroyed in clearances last night. Why oh why was Gus not in there?
  24. Why don’t we just run over our players with steam rollers. Replacement training for that camp. See who survives!
