Brad Green's Wife Passes Away
Too true. We lost a game of footy. These guys lost their mum.

Alex Keath
Can he kick goals?!

POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
Agreed. He won’t get sacked nor should he at the moment, but if we don’t overhaul the rest of the coaching team come year end, I would be very disappointed. Pert needs to flex some muscle and go hunt top assistant coaches from other clubs. Throw that extra cash we made from all those idiots who signed up as members this year!

That miss by TMac which ended up in a Collingwood goal was the moment we lost the game. I love McDonald but he is an embarrassment to himself and a liability to our team right now.

I do love supporters saying Goodwin isn’t the blame because he isn’t the one kicking poorly. Mate, he’s our senior coach. He is to blame for our poor structure, for our lack of game plan forward of the ball, for giving out of form and soft players games every week, for repeating the same thing week in week out and expecting the same result. Sure he isn’t telling McDonald to miss a regulation shot and ruin our momentum and hence the game, but he is picking a half fit player who can’t move when he has a second ruck in the VFL who can just as easily stand in the goal square and do SFA. The blame falls on his shoulders. To suggest otherwise is to give him a free pass he doesn’t deserve.

You have to feel positive about the fact that we can get the ball. But we cannot use it. The utter disrespect that Goodwin shows the wings at the MCG is embarrassing and makes him look like a moron. Nobody cares that we smash them in clearances because they know nobody on the outside can do anything with it.

The lowlight was having to report a scum supporter today for abuse. No idea if anyone will follow it up, but he was drunk and abusive and of course had a small child with him, because why not continue the cycle of being a filthy piece of dog [censored]?! Anyway I thought our backline was good. The difference May and Lever made was immense. May was excellent. Lever got better as the game wore on. Hannan likewise. So nice to have some quality back in the side. Gawn was superb was always. Grundy can clean his shoelaces as far as I’m concerned. A superb midfielder and leader. Our contested work was good, but as has been the case all year, we have no purpose using the ball going forward of Centre. I don’t know what the game plan is, but it’s failing. Chaos ball is dead. Speaking of dead, Tom McDonald’s career... what has happened? I would give him the rest of the year off and pop Preuss at FF. How much worse can it get?!!

If you can’t kick a football you can’t play football.

Don’t worry Goodwin has 4 more years to not fix anything.

Hot garbage. Lucky they can’t kick and keeping us in it. Headless chickens.

I like Smith. Wonder what mystery injury he has. Not sure we need Wagner as for once we have a decent backline! Perhaps Hibbo and/or Salem play midfield which I don’t mind at all.

From zero to hero for our backline.

AFL and 18 Clubs apologise to Adam Goodes
Yeah I did have a Melbourne supporter this year tell me not to boo Tom Scully and to that I say “boooooo”

First Chaplin, now this....
Very true. It’s a bad look especially in season.

AFL and 18 Clubs apologise to Adam Goodes
Plenty of players are flogs and don’t get booed and harassed as pathetically and brutally as Goodes did. Selwood doesn’t get booed, nor does Tony Greene and the list goes on. The treatment of Goodes was appalling and racist and the AFL community should be ashamed of letting an absolute champion retire under such a negative cloud.

His last chance to play with his brother who has 1 or 2 years left.

PREGAME: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
Don’t get me wrong nothing would please me more than us making the 8, but the chances are so low that I prefer we get a decent pick and regroup for next season with a healthy list and win the flag. I still believe our list is good enough to win a flag... if we can keep it healthy and get our game plan right.

Nothing better than missing finals AND a top draft pick.

Watch us win lots of games now and finish 9th ?

He has a bit of dash and his kicking is good. I mean what more can you ask for as a Melbourne supporter?

Jordan Lewis To Retire this Year
Leaves the game having achieved what few have. 4 times. He was a good get for us when we were needing guidance in how to win and how to train and how to be professional. Will be interesting to see if he stays on in a coaching capacity.

POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs Adelaide
Considering before this year Tom was one of the fittest players in the team with the best endurance and this year he looks like a 90 year old with arthritis, I have to believe he is not fit. He must be carrying a back injury of some sort because he is struggling to run, bend and jump. He also has no penetration in his kicking which makes me think he has lost some power in his leg due to a lower back injury. I am of course guessing this, because honestly if he isn’t injured then we are [censored]. Totally agree. He played well and I think he has a lot of potential to make it and be a really good KPF for us. The 8 other experienced players who missed before him are just as much to blame for the loss as he is.

POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs Adelaide
A day later and I’m over the loss. It was nice to see some good ball use going inside 50 and our overall intent was quite good, especially considering we are missing so many key players. I have no doubt that if even just Hore played we would have won. Our backline was uncompetitive against 3 big man and losing a tall pre game really hurt. Hibbo was also underdone as you expect, leaving Frost as our best defender down there. You can’t win games a football with that sort of defensive quality. Or lack thereof. Encouraged by Weideman who other than the poor kick at goal was quite good, especially given he was battling a hip issue just a couple of weeks ago. Also another good showing from both our gingers. Oliver was superb, so much so they got Gibbs to tag him. All in all another disappointing season. Injuries have killed us, but equally so has our inability to adjust our game plan to new rules and losing our key forward.

100% agreed. He is our most influential consistent and best player. He is in the thick of the action. He is incredibly well spoken. He has had a lot of setbacks and risen above them. He is captain material and should be made captain or at least co captain next season.
