Not for us to make call. We don't know what goes on inside the club. Do I think it's an odd choice? yes. Would I have preferred May get the job given he is an experienced leader, ex- captain and in good form? yes. Does it actually matter? no. We have lost our captain and vice captain, so it is up to everyone tonight to stand up and lead. Jones, May, Lever, McDonald, Hibberd, I am expecting these guys to be accountable from a leadership perspective in the absence of our actual leaders. Could explain why they brought back TMac to help lead a very inexperienced forwardline.

The issue I have is, given Gawn was sore going to Adelaide and carrying an injury, why wouldn’t they take Preuss to Adelaide? If they haven’t it suggests to me they won’t want him to play.

Unless I’m reading my Instagram wrong it looks like Tom is still in QLD so I don’t think he will play. Could be wrong or they could fly him over with the North players. It’s not the end of the world for me if Jackson and Tomlinson share the ruck duties.

It’s not the 4 weeks I care about. It was dangerous and it caused serious damage. Its simply the fact that the treatment of the AFL is completely inconsistent between big name players, big clubs, no name players and small clubs. And that is not a just or fair system. But the AFL isn’t alone. People with money are often able to get away with a lot more in the criminal justice system. It’s unfair but it’s life.

Has been our most consistent mid for mine. His attack on the ball each week is faultless. His kicking is hit and miss but he’s been getting better at lowering his eyes going forward. Considering he has a newborn, which we all know means little sleep, especially with two hub changes, I think he’s done remarkably well.

Jackson is exciting. Oliver is a freak. Good to see Gus get into it in the second half. Is Vanders injured again? Or is it just his head? He’s in a jacket limping ? Did what we needed to do. Can’t say I’m overly thrilled to beat a team that hasn’t won a game yet. But it was nice that we got a big win in the end. Helps the old percentage.
