  1. Trump told me one is only weeks away.
  2. I know. Need to draft this guy to run the place
  3. Hated Frawley and hate Howe once they left. We don’t speak of Scully. Scum of the earth and his career went the way it deserved.
  4. Hated Melksham. Tried very hard to like him. Still struggling. His [censored] form hasn’t helped.
  5. The most useless organization in Australia funded by tax payers is Aus Post. They make millions while I wait 9 weeks to get a parcel from QLD. Useless.
  6. Dangerfield retiring a loser couldn’t happen to a smarmier guy.
  7. Watching old squinty eyes lose is just the highlight of this season.
  8. He was in the fetal position just counting down until the game ended. It’s been one disaster after the other.
  9. Don’t count on it. They’re still working out how to contact trace. 12-14 more years should do it.
  10. Good riddance Geelong. Respect to Richmond. Martin is a serious freak.
  11. All I can say is, if Melbourne was involved in this game I would be dead from multiple heart attacks by now.
  12. He may be a great player, but my god he’s an insufferable [censored].
  13. For 3000 years I’ve watched the same irritating faces play for Geelong. How can this retirement village still be going?
  14. Oh without a doubt you need to pick your battles. Daniher was an idiotic move. He was always leaving. Now their bargaining chips are nothing. If Oliver said “guys I hate this place I’m leaving now or next year, make a decision” I would of course trade him while under contract and get max value. But if your best players are even a 2% chance of being swayed and are still giving you their best on the field, you gotta back yourself.
  15. That even West Coast, a club with a rich history of making champions out of troubled blokes don’t want him, says a lot.
  16. Probably knows Essendon won’t let him go while under contract. And fair enough, I would do the same if Oliver or Trac wanted out. You take your chances on your best players and hope to turn them around.
  17. Eventually it’ll happen. They can only replace so many stars. Cameron will help ease the blow but when the best players in your side are all over 30, and there is a lot of them, eventually you’ll drop off. You can bring in one maybe two quality players a year, you can’t bring enough to replace half the side. Also Geelong is a literal dump. I have no idea why anyone would be attracted to the lifestyle down there unless they surf or have a job at Cotton On.
  18. I think it’s plainly obvious that we won’t win a flag unless we strengthen the quality of our wings. We saw what an amazing difference Langdon made this year, but he can’t do it alone. Our wings have been a rotating retirement village for unsuitable players. Yes it would be lovely to get another 25 year old gun wingman like Langdon, but we need to be realistic about our salary cap and the amount of players we have out of contract next year that we desperately want to keep. Smith might be a short gap filler but he’s proven and can’t do worse than the other options currently on our list. He will cost virtually nothing in terms of cap space and won’t compromise our draft position, so who can bloody dispute that?
  19. Even if all Brown does is take away the best defender allowing Weideman and Jackson to develop as second and third talls, it would be a good get. McDonald sadly doesn’t commend a good defender anymore. Brown will, at worse, bring ball to ground giving Pickett and hopefully another small forward that we find somewhere, more opportunities. At best he kicks 30-50 goals and makes us a potent forwardline again. Something we’ve lacked since McDonald was in form.
  20. Not necessarily true. If rumours are to be believed, he is having issues with North Melbourne and it has nothing to do with money. He may look at a club where he feels to be a good cultural fit, one where the coaches will support him and his family. There’s a group of young dads at the club who may make him feel welcomed. There are a few “alternative” players who he may click with, as he’s a bit different to your traditional meat head footballer. Brown and his wife strike me as a couple who cares about more than money. I may be totally wrong, but that is the vibe I get from what I’ve heard about them. Besides, losing a baby can have a profound impact on you and none of us can judge someone who may want a change of scenery after something like that.
  21. North are in a heavy rebuild mode. He won’t be around if or when they ever compete again. They are clearing the decks of anyone who isn’t contracted who is of some value. Plus clearly Brown isn’t happy with the club, so they have no real leverage here.
  22. Can confirm [censored] grand final befitting the rest of 2020.
  23. There is a reason why two clubs invested heavily in him and yet both clubs didn’t find him to be a good fit. He didn’t work at Melbourne. Time to move on.
  24. Who was the last 'big' name that went to those 3 clubs? Martin... he's getting paid $1.7 million front ended. Case closed.
  25. The reality is that if you aren’t playing finals consistently or you aren’t loaded with money, you aren’t a destination club. Players look at results. We have made finals once in a decade. That says a lot more to players than looking at our list with a magnifying glass and judging our likelihood of future success.
