  1. I was not referring to finals. We were 10-0 and had West Coast and North back to back. We had ample opportunities to rest players who were not right. Lever kept hurting his foot. Salem was never right to return. Gawn rushed back. We absolutely could have rucked Jackson and Weideman for 5-6 weeks and given Gawn a proper rest. We could have debuted JVR and given Brown a month off leading into finals. We took risks that in hindsight cost us dearly.
  2. Let’s hope half the Geelong team retire post win. I’ve had a gutful of these flogs.
  3. True. But Sydney don’t have it in them. I hope I am wrong because nothing would please me more than a Geelong choke honestly.
  4. We took a risk with May last year and it paid off. Sometimes you gotta take a punt on your most important players.
  5. That was not a grand final and Sydney are not Melbourne 2021.
  6. This is not Melbourne. If they lose this from here it would be the worst choke in the history of the game.
  7. Dangerfield playing 2 good games in a row. Geelong has had sensational luck this season. Coupled with a dream draw, good player management and a killer forwardline. It was theirs to lose for about 10 weeks now and they don’t seem to want to choke again.
  8. I give this game 0 stars
  9. Game is over. Shades of Melbourne Geelong prelim.
  10. Thank god it’s not us losing like this today to Geelong. I would die.
  11. Live scenes from my house
  12. Swans kicking inside 50 is Melbourne like
  13. I haven’t been home all day. Contemplating if I even turn it on later. It always hurts to watch others teams in the GF, but after missing out on the experience last year, and knowing that we absolutely have a good enough side to be there today, it hurts even more. Not sure I can bring myself to watch.
  14. I was right near the bench for that game and Gawn had more pain killers than touches. I just don’t know why we kept pushing so many of our stars throughout the season when they were clearly not ok.
  15. Happy one year anniversary to when I cried because we won a flag and because I wasn’t there to see it. Let’s hope this time next year I’m at the G and not our shopping to distract myself from the possibility of Geelong winning a flag.
  16. According to Tom’s instagram, he’s had screws taken out today and will be ready to go next season. News of his demise are premature.
  17. I’m frankly surprised Carlton aren’t interested in him. He’s a better player than OMac in my opinion. Makes sense the Dogs are looking at him. Their defense is utter rubbish.
  18. Do you honestly think anyone would recall such traumatic and triggering events to such fine details for [censored] and giggles? Of course every word spoken is the person's own, and of course thoughts and feelings are unique to every person, but to suggest those being interviewed made up these horrific allegations is pretty ridiculous. I have never met a woman who would lie about having an abortion. And I have never known an Indigenous person to lie about being vilified. If anything, people tend to hide those truths more than reveal them publicly. The fact that we keep suggesting over and over again that maybe these stories aren't true, is just our own way to try and deny what is clearly a systemic issue in our society.
  19. I hate that they refer to these allegations as 'historical'. There is nothing historical about it. It happened not that long ago, and basically everyone involved at the club at the time is still heavily involved in the AFL.
  20. Do you really think that anyone, let alone reputable journalists at a reputable publication, would release this stuff without any proof? And do you really think Hawthorn would launch an investigation into past behaviours themselves, if they didn't suspect bad behaviour? You don't burn your own house down for no reason.
  21. I do wonder how Buddy feels about all this. He remains probably the biggest Indigenous name to come out of Hawthorn.
  22. There is surely a mountain of evidence here. Why would Hawthorn themselves launch an investigation into their own culture if they didn't think anything was wrong?
  23. I think it's less about the payout, which I am sure the AFL will cover, and more about the fact that they finally landed what they thought was a master coach. Now they will need to start again.
  24. North Melbourne can't take a trick. Their board must be in full blown meltdown mode. I also can't imagine this would help Yze in his pursuit of a senior role, although there is absolutely nothing to suggest he was at all involved. It's just the optics really.
