He is already our most senior coach and runs the box on game days. Not sure how much more senior he can be elsewhere without being a senior coach. I’m sure he will stay around until he gets the senior job somewhere else.
I’m so sorry for both of you. Our puppy got attacked about a month ago by a giant dog and it was the worst 24 hours of my entire life. I cried more than I have over every human death I’ve ever experienced… the puppy was absolutely fine btw

Unfortunately the Hawks investigation would not have helped him. It’s a big enough risk for Essendon to go another inexperienced coach without this hanging over their head.
Can we PLEASE stop comparing De Goey to May? FFS having a drunken fight with a teammate is on a completely different level to SEXUAL ASSAULT. How anyone can put our AA defender in the same 'bad boy/ cultural cancer' bucket as a guy who has displayed actual criminal behaviour is beyond me and is frankly disrespectful to May. And to those suggesting we chase him, what for? He doesn't fill any gaps we have, and would eat up significant money and resources. No thanks.
Cranbourne. Honestly I don't know why we aren't keen to make it our home. Yes it's a drive, but honestly for players who live in the Peninsula it is a quicker drive than going into the CBD. There is ample land, and parks around, you could easily make it a recreational hub for supporters and members, and make it into a state of the art facility. Anyone who has ever been down there knows it is absolutely enormous in terms of land and potential to expand. It doesn't hurt that Casey is one of the fastest growing areas in Melbourne, with loads of development going on, additional roads being built and so forth. There would be massive appetite for a purpose built facility with food and beverages on offer as well, which could generate a heap of revenue for the club. Like Bentleigh Club but better. We would be much more likely to get state funding for a development out there as it is a major growth corridor and, given Andrews is likely to win by a landside, also a major Labour stronghold he will be happy to invest in.
Do you have any proof that he knocked back our offer? I would say our priority this season was Jackson and Oliver. We will now work hard to sign up the rest of the guys coming out of contract soon who we want to keep.
That he is simply not willing to sign the clauses suggests to me that he has absolutely no plans to change his behavior. Good luck to Collingwood.
