  1. I don't think Gus will be involved in anything, will he @WalkingCivilWar? I hope if he does, that the club makes a massive deal about it, because I reckon you'll get 10,000 more fans there if they know we are getting to farewell Gus properly. I will of course be there regardless, as will my husband, who is gutted to be losing his favourite player Nibbler
  2. If we traded Kosi for Houston, I reckon you would be able to take an early retirement from the money you'd make off the Demonland meltdowns.
  3. This is what happened yesterdy
  4. Andy IS Tom Morris
  5. Oliver has NEVER said he was leaving, nor has the club since last year. Viney is about to sign an extension. Trac has his own issues, and the club has told you multiple times he is going nowhere. Just because fans are melting down over the fake news about our demise, doesn't mean Kosi is.
  6. He looked terrible two weeks ago against Port kicking 4 goals and having 21 touches. I would trade for Beau McCreery
  7. Congratulations to the AFL for joining the 21st century, 20 years too late.
  8. That's a great book, and the TV series is also really good. Highly recommend.
  9. Has Kosi? It's easy to pick on clubs that have a good list and fail, like ours, that much is clear. What isn't clear is where is the media pile on on the Pies, from premiers to bottom 8, or Geelong last year, or this year for that matter for what happened to Stangle. Please imagine the headlines if it was Clarry instead. Why is it ok to cut the Pies slack because of their injuries, but ours are completely ignored? Can you imagine the outrage if Goodwin came out and said we got robbed by the umpires because the game wasn't played at the MCG? Like honestly, just imagine how he would get cut to shreds by the entire AFL journalist community. I understand why we are getting picked on, and that's fine, we have been a total disappointment this season. But we are not alone, so why are we copping more than most?
  10. Oh good, another 30,000 pages coming up for @Demonland
  11. I was saying that the implication that players didn’t know Trac was in Noosa until today is laughable. My dad who checks Instagram once a month when he accidentally clicks on the icon on his phone, knew that Trac was in Noosa. These journalists never should have dropped out of clown school.
  12. So not a single Melbourne player has turned on their phones and checked social media in 8 weeks?
  13. In the least surprising news of all time
  14. Already reported by @Dannyz who has slightly more credits in the bank than Buckley, Morris and Cornes put together.
  15. He is actually in the top 0.1% because there is simply nobody better than him in the last decade, and arguably longer. If he gets his 7th AA jacket, which he should, that will just prove it.
  16. I teared up watching the video of him speak to the players. When he said his mind was willing but his body wasn’t capable, I felt that deep in my soul.
  17. Interesting because he was there for Ben Brown’s retirement announcement which I believe was today
  18. Only Melbourne supporters would argue that extending the contract of one of our greatest ever players and premiership captain, who also happens to be the best ruckman the game has probably ever seen, is not a good thing.
  19. Absolutely beautiful man on and off the field. Thanks for helping us achieve the ultimate and thanks for always being a fantastic teammate and clubman. You can be incredibly proud of everything you’ve achieved in your career.
  20. I believe we will hear of his retirement very soon.
  21. Hey @WalkingCivilWar was Nibbler there?
  22. I think a grand final is slightly different to a dead rubber, but I do understand the sentiments. I am conflicted on this issue, and would be fine whichever way the club chooses to go.
  23. Maybe because the club needs to know where it stands financially to be able to attract certain players or sign other extensions like Viney, McVee and May. The more you have planned out, the easier it is to shuffle things around to accommodate other deals. Gawn was never not going to get an extension if he wanted one, we all know this. So why not just get it done instead of wasting your time next year, when perhaps you'll have bigger fish to fry? And who is to say another club won't approach him, the way North approached Viney next year, which will drive up his price? Not saying he would ever leave, but it would give him bargaining power.
  24. My best guess is that post leak, he was told to keep a low profile and not get on his phone. Makes a lot of sense.
