Another game where we are simply not making the most of our plentiful opportunities. So infuriating. Petracca with simple goal kicking just letting us down time and time again. For such a talented player, it’s inexplicable.

It’s unbelievable how often we dominate passages of play for no return. Our ball use inside 50 is absolutely putrid.

Hey Einstein, we could absolutely finish top 2 with our percentage gap. Port winning today makes it much less likely. If a side like Essendon get out spot in the top 4, we can’t win the flag anyway, so what does it matter?

Top 2 is a better goal. Let’s not be cocky and think that playing Port in Adelaide or Pies in week one is going to be a better result than a home final in week one ffs!

Honestly anyone who wanted Essendon to lose doesn’t understand how this season could play out. Very poor result for us.

Agreed. We realistically cannot finish first. The game and percentage gap between us and Pies is too great. However if we only lose one more game from here on, and it’s entirely possible with our draw, we can definitely overtake Port on percentage and Lions on points. Especially if we beat the Lions in 2 weeks time. Finishing second would be the absolute best possible outcome as we stay at the G and avoid Pies.

It is entirely plausible that if Port lose today we could finish as high as second. They have 3 tough games from here they could definitely lose - Pies, Adelaide and Geelong in Geelong.

They looked amazing against witches hats. As did we against North. As did Swans against West Coast. Gold Coast had a do not enter policy in the corridor today. It was one of the most putrid coaching display I’ve seen in a long time. Pies just waltzed the ball from end to end uncontested. It was a goddamn training run.

I was feeling jealous of everyone making the trip, as it’s definitely on my list of must attend games, but definitely not in the budget right now. But seeing the weather, has eased that jealousy quite a bit.

I mean we barely got out of Metricon alive. But the Suns don’t play second halves of seasons. The bye is their end of season trip.

Goodwin said he can train but can’t do any contact work due to risk of further damage. So essentially he won’t lose fitness but he gets a month off to freshen up before finals. Not the worst.

I am unsurprised by this. A good time to try and get him on the cheap. We were very keen to draft him and just missed out.

I disagree. I am not against resting him, but competitively he’s been very good and I think he is part of our best 22.
