He does, but it's not a regular occurrence. I would like to see the kick out duties split more evenly between Salem and Bowey, with May only kicking it out when we need to clear a lot of space.

I reckon May's real issue is his brain fades. Sometimes he can panic when he kicks it. He does 2-3 things a game where I am like "how are you the best FB in the game but equally the worse ball user in the backline?" I understand why he takes the kick outs, but with Salem back I really want to see him kicking out more, especially in close games and quarters. I would also consider giving McVee or Bowey the kick out duties sometimes. May can bomb it long, but that's about it. Pin pointing kicks is not his forte.

Spargo isn't versatile enough to be sub IMO. JJ can play mid, wing and half back. He is a far better choice for sub, and also deserves to be in the best 22. But it's a hard team to break into.

The AFL, as always, is picking and choosing who to punish, when and how, to suit their narrative. Merrett is no longer eligible for the Brownlow. I bet my bottom dollar that the next player in trouble who is a Brownlow favourite, magically gets off.
