  1. He shouldn’t take any ruck contests outside of the forwardline. What’s the point then? We know he will dominate the ruck at Casey. I don’t need an AA ruckman getting ruck practice against low quality rucks. He can practice ruck craft at training with Gawn. He has to play forward for the whole game or this whole exercise will be pointless. If anything I’d be working hard on getting Schache to do more rucking. It’s the only way he is getting a regular senior game.
  2. Maybe, if he doesn't want May to give him another bath in his last game
  3. Confidence is low, but optimism is high. I love and hate Friday night games for this reason. Win and the weekend is set up. Lose and you'll be annoyed for the rest of the weekend.
  4. I would pay good money to watch Hunter ruck 😂
  5. I reckon his wife was like “I told you this was a waste of money” and he was like “I hate this woman”.
  6. Let’s hope so. I cannot stand them. On the other hand, I would love to play them in a final…
  7. Why? I don’t want the Dogs close to us
  8. My psychiatrist has the asylum on speed dial on the off chance I ever barrack for Geelong.
  9. He is literally the only forward we have left who can turn a game in a matter of seconds. Now is not the time to make our forwardline less potent
  10. Because Schache is a very ordinary AFL player and JVR is going to be a very good one.
  11. Christ that’s the trifecta of Melbourne haters
  12. Caulfield would be a very good spot. It’s not that far from the G and is well serviced by Caulfield station.
  13. Kane Cornes reckons Oliver won’t play again this season… so lock him in for a return next week 🙄😂
  14. If Fagan thinks they'll win at the MCG with more slow lumbering players, then all power to him.
  15. The biggest issue with the Gawn/Grundy combo, is that we want one of them to play forward, and neither are forwards. At 29 and 31, that is not going to change. You just have to move on from that idea. We never played Gawn or Jackson as permanent forwards, so why are we insisting to do it with Gawn and Grundy? Gawn dropping back is where he excels, and providing the outlet from half back. Grundy needs to use his strength at ground level to play as an extra mid. He can't do that if he's absolutely buggered, so it's not a bad time to give him a week off to freshen up ahead of playing a fast moving Adelaide. But neither are forwards, and the more we try to make them something they are not, the more we will suffer.
  16. An ambulance chasing trollop. I have no doubt that we are not happy with how the Gawn/Grundy combo is working, and that we expected a lot more out of it. However I also have no doubt that we are resting Grundy, not relegating him to Casey (who have a bye, so what a good time to 'rest' a player). He spent 12 months out of the game last year, and is no doubt still building back his fitness. He has been in better form IMO than Gawn, but I think we want to exploit the Lions' distinct lack of speed, especially if Dunkley doesn't play. It is the one area where we can really expose them, especially on the wide spaces of the MCG.
  17. When 1000 points are on the line, you have to take things very seriously
  18. My guess is that they were interested in Jackson and were told very early on he was only dealing with Freo, so didn’t bother.
  19. Load up on Pies. Hopefully they destroy whatever is left of their percentage, which is already the forth lowest!
