  1. Jack Grimes is one injury free season from being captain. True or false?
  2. Hard to see Clarkson leaving the Hawks at their peak. His premiership window is going to be open for the next 3-4 years if he can keep the list healthy. The only clincher of course is that Hawthorn won't give him 5 years, they probably won't give him 3. He'll get a standard 2 and maybe have an extension clause based on GF appearances. So he'll either back himself to succeed with Hawthorn again, or he'll chase the job security, which is nearly unheard of in this caper. For what it's worth he would be my number 1 pick and by a long way. He is exactly what we need and he is a brilliant tactical coach. I'm glad we are making massive bids too, great that we can finally afford to play with the big kids! This coach selection process could honestly make or break our premiership tilt, and is as important as our list building efforts of the past 3 seasons.
  3. Arts major I take it? Was always jealous of people who studied art at uni. They all seemed to have a life while I was lying in the fetal position pulling my hair out because I had so much work to do.
  4. Year 12 History Revolutions? One of my favourite subjects at school. I killed it. Sadly I did not keep any of my work, it's not exactly relevant to what I'm doing now. Always remember, communism is perfect in theory but fails in reality because the world is not made up of idealistic people, least of all those preaching communistic theories.
  5. Sure did! We actually ended up ordering nearly everything on the sampling/sharing menu, and it wasn't expensive at all (we did not have the pig thank you), and the atmosphere was great even though it was extremely busy. Probably one of my recent favourites, along with New Market in St Kilda which is more pricey but just as delicious (great cocktails too!)
  6. Had dinner at George Koulambaris' new restaurant- St. Katherines tonight. Would highly recommend. I may have sweet talked my way to some free desserts from him too B)
  7. Worst.Day.Ever. Wine shall be my salvation tonight!
  8. I hear you. This season is so dead to me. I'm going to go to the games (not going to Geelong this week), but the interest and motivation is non existent. Also I can't eat bananas so I'm a cheap date
  9. Qualify for what? The Australian Netball Team? I've lost track of the multiple conversations going on here. Should go back to doing some work now.
  10. You think I get Youtube access at work? Come on now. I barely get Demonland access They decided to block internet shopping sites too, until they realised we work at a fashion company and they were facing an employee strike. Good times.
  11. In other good news, our only remaining working photocopier is broken. How is it that we can fly people to the moon, but nobody has invented a photocopier that doesn't get paper jammed. Seriously. Fridays are a [censored].
  12. I just had a terrible coffee and it cost me $4.30. Also, this thread is by far the most interesting thing I've read today.
  13. Such great news!
  14. I actually love tennis, so I'm happy about that. I'll probably end up going back into the office or working from home in a couple of weeks, but certainly if the pain is keeping me up at night I'll do some reviews while high on drugs. Should make for some entertaining reading
  15. Yeah I'm feeling very very sorry for myself, don't you worry about that. This is by far the worst pain I have ever experienced, and I've had some pretty nasty broken bones before. On the other hand I have lots and lots of old Melbourne games, which I'll watch from the discomfort of my bed. I wonder if morphine makes our players look better or worse...
  16. I was meant to go to Thailand today, and stupidly fell on my knee last night (it was just a silly trip, nothing unusual) and broke the knee cap in half. 2 weeks of complete bed rest, plus another 4 weeks in the brace. Hoping it heals well or else I may need to get some pins or something inserted. Needless to say my beach-side cocktails have been replaced by bed-side morphine. F'ing awesome! Thankfully I have great friends who will come keep me company and my dad is on holidays so he's my nurse on call.
  17. While I'm no fan of cricket, I am going to be bed bound for the next 2-6 weeks with a broken knee cap, so thank goodness for cricket!!!
  18. They noted that Fitzpatrick is more of a forward than a ruckman, but when you look at the state of our rucks at the moment, we're about 5 short.
  19. Excellent news Two Sheds! Your story just devastated me and it's great to hear that you have some very positive news to share. As I think I said to you before, doctors don't know everything and they are often wrong. You keep fighting and stay positive and you definitely can beat this. Cancer is still largely an unknown disease, particularly rare cancers, so please make those medical books as one of those success cases that every other poor bastard with the same type of cancer can look to. Best of luck!
  20. How ridiculous! Does anyone compare Reiwoldt to Brown? Fevola to Brown? Franklin to Brown? Anyone who compares Jack Watts to Jonathan Brown is a moron, and deserves a punch to the head by Jonathan Brown
  21. Quoted for truth and accuracy. These Watts discussions are becoming more and more ridiculous. He'll be a star, so let's move on and give him the time that he needs and deserves to develop.
  22. Runs like Davey, takes speccies like Robbo and lays hip and shoulders like Whelan! :D
  23. "A skilful, high possession winning midfield forward who is strong overhead for his size. Was a WA U18 representative in 2008. From Carey Park JFC." Cousin of Essendon's Jetta. HEIGHT 179.6 WEIGHT 76.6
  24. I really like that McLean is hanging out with the older players. In fact, he could even teach them a thing or two <_<
