  1. Analyse any club and you can up with the same scenarios to these. Try to accept that this stuff is in the past and despite some speed bumps we're on the way up, it'll do your mental state a world of good.
  2. The hunger just isn't there. It's time to part ways IMO.
  3. I don't think the deal needs to involve a 5th round pick ENYAW... unnecessarily complicated.
  4. Jon Ralph who threw up Clayton Oliver for Lever as potential a trade scenario? I'm done with him.
  5. I don't mind when they throw him in the middle as it creates a different dynamic, but he doesn't exactly win break away clearances on the regular. He's our best small forward by a mile so I'd rather see him stay as a forward.
  6. One of the best set shots in the league, in fact. The problem is his decision making. When he's kicking for goal, his mind doesn't have to bend over backwards in order to work out where exactly to kick it. Shore up the back line, play McDonald as a forward who goes back when required.
  7. Players bombing the ball in too often, only to have it cleared out right away by the opposition.
  8. Could be a case of looking good in a great team, but I was definitely impressed with him last season. Is he composed enough with the ball?
  9. I wonder if the MFC is some kind of social experiment to see how long someone can support the club with killing themselves?
  10. The last decade isn't enough reason to 'legitimately complain'?
  11. I wouldn't have said this at the start of the season, but it definitely rings true for some of them now. Seems as though they were happy enough playing some good footy, getting up to 5th on the ladder and receiving some plaudits in the media. I still think a big part of it is experience and they'll learn that they can't ever switch off like they have. Sustained effort will come, but we need to make sure the people who are being brought into the club, whether they be players or staff, hold that effort and desire to win above everything else. If they do this, the mental weakness should be gradually stamped out. We've come a long way, but we have a long way to go.
  12. Hiding in a strategically placed clump of bushes you think? Binoculars and a packed lunch?
  13. Too right Saty. It hurts a lot, but it doesn't seem so bad when I remind myself that it's just a game. Onward and upwards.
  14. Bontempelli and Selwood there on name only. The more I look at the more infuriated I become that Oliver missed.
  15. Massive congratulations to Jeffy Garlett, Michael Hibberd and Neville Jetta. Clayton Oliver is definitely stiff to miss out. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2017-08-28/2017-all-australian-squad-revealed
  16. Ironically the first time they've done it this year, but they did it when they needed to. We didn't.
  17. I'm not sure if my expectations are unreasonable, but I felt that Hunt dropped off massively after he was knocked out in the Adelaide game. Didn't seem to want to take the game on as much when he had the ball. But as I said, I might be harsh on him. I was so impressed with his year last year.
  18. Doesn't struggle to find the ball at all, which is disappointing because he is very talented in that respect. But his decision making and in particular his kicking, is deplorable. I think he'll be superseded by Neal-Bullen in the near future, but maybe it won't be so bad when Tyson is our 5th or 6th best midfielder.
  19. The first drought we wipe off next season is North. I hope we have them very early and make a statement by hammering those gimps by 15 goals. Then onwards to finals. Fark it's a long time to wait though.
  20. Don't think I've ever been as nervous about a non-MFC game as I am today. But I think that even if the Crows get up and we make finals, I'll still feel a little hollow.
  21. Some absolute shockers, but we need to be good enough to win no matter what the influence of the umpires is like.
