  1. Some battles aren't worth fighting. While you and I think arguing with the club about the away jumper is one of them, I'd suggest arguing about the jumper on Demonland is an even more unwinnable battle.
  2. How appropriate that a poster with name "dieter" is laughing at a line about Yarran making visits to KFC and the local bakery.
  3. I think Old Dee's point is that people may not like the jumper but they don't care enough to make a song and dance about it. And then there are those (like me) who couldn't care less about the jumper design.
  4. We don't need to know your lap time. What we need to know is whether you ran a personal best.
  5. And you can assume he had a big say in deciding that this year's draft was not worth as much at the top end as last year's hence the decision to trade away this year's first round draft pick for (in effect) Weideman.
  6. Just in case anyone isn't sure, I think we can conclude you wanted a hardline approach.
  7. And, yet, of all the captions suggested, the only one likely to be true.
  8. "Don't worry. That guy with the scooter is always asking questions. He's harmless."
  9. wasn't even an issue with black and white TV
  10. I see that the recent edition of the 'Heartbeat' magazine sent to members lists all club employees. Because it's retrospective, it includes Paul Roos as Senior Coach. It also lists Tami Roos as the person in charge of "Mediatation". I assume that's some sort of crossover between Meditation, Mediation and working in the Media...or MMM.
  11. It might also be Lewis telling them to get into the habit at training of not showing fatigue so they can (hopefully) translate this approach to matchday.
  12. I'm sorry if this has already been covered, but have the players (from any club, not just ours) ever said that they believe different jumpers are necessary to avoid on field problems?
  13. You sound like Gomer Pyle with a speech impediment. Note: If you are under the age of 55 don't bother trying to appreciate the above comment.
  14. I'm visualising Whispering Jack as a mini-me version of our poster Jaded. Which is hard, because I don't know what Jaded actually looks like.
  15. Hallelujah! But see below... While I'm delighted we seem to be working on improving the non-preferred side, I suspect in the last few years so much work was needed on the preferred side there wasn't time to add this particular icing to the cake. In any other industry it wold be illegal to "cut them loose" if a person is sick, injured or unwell. I'm surprised posters don't appear to recognise that OH&S laws also apply to professional football clubs.
  16. Isn't the AFL Tribunal doing what a Magistrate would do? That is, telling him his case won't proceed unless he can prove the family emergency?
  17. I was determined to keep mine, but unfortunately determination just isn't enough.
  18. I wanted to click "Like" meaning I support you regarding taking nothing for granted. But it seemed that if I did I would be "liking" that your father recently had a stroke. I hope he is progressing well.
  19. I wonder how long it would take the US President-elect to be banned from Demonland for breaching the abuse guidelines?
  20. Wayne Ludbey photo from today's training. To be honest, I'm more troubled by the royal blue shorts than the platinum hair.
  21. Oh. How simple. I was expecting it was some sort of iPhone auto-correct error or young-person speak. Thanks.
  22. Great report Wayne...but what's this mean? (Is it just me? No-one else has asked...)
  23. Disturbing image. Do the three of you fit?
  24. Fair enough. In that case, I agree with you.
  25. I think that's being unfair. Lyon didn't (or hasn't yet) won a Premiership, but he's got pretty close. Really just one unlucky bounce away. Having said that, I'm not convinced Lyon is a coach who can re-build a team like it now appears he will have to with Fremantle. But I wouldn't describe him as a "poor coach".
