NON-MFC: Finals Week 01
On the other hand, as an Adelaide resident, it'll make things a lot quieter for me this week. For the last few weeks, it's been full on Crows have it in the bag. All they had to do was turn up. The arrogance is a bit sickening. You have to live here to understand.

Jeff White - Analysis
Sign the man up asap! What an amazing level of analysis. I wonder whether the club has somebody already doing this stuff. I also wonder if this sort of analysis is of more benefit to mug punters like most of us, or if the players would benefit from it if they donโt already get it in some other fashion.

POSTGAME: Rd 06 vs Fremantle
Grill'd's good run has come to an end. They're bracing for the rush on Monday. Good job I didn't trash my voucher early on.

Gather Round Ticket Fail
I had exactly the same experience after sitting in the queue on my computer. When I went back in, and put in my barcodes again, the no cost option that I'd initially selected was no longer available. That meant either that I'd been successful, or that the relatively small number of free tickets had all gone while I'd been faffing about trying to work out what had happened. Some bad words were said about Ticketek. Then I had the bright idea of checking the Ticketek app on my phone. Eureka! Tickets there! I've still got bad words about Ticketek, not for the first time, but at least this time I have the tickets.

The Melbourne - Norwood connection
Sorry! They might be red and blue, but they're still Norwood, and that's where the connection ends, for me. If it ever started. It probably makes more sense if, like me, you happen to have lived in SA for a fair part of your life. (If it makes you feel better, I spent several years at Sale State. School, not prison! Back in the days when you were either RDB or Serge in the playground. ) I've been supporting the Bays (ie Glenelg) since the late 50s, and for much of that time they've been roughly equivalent to the Dees through the 70s, 80s and 90s. The win today was a fantastic come from behind win in the last quarter, and makes it back to back premierships. So I'm not feeling much for Norwood, although they put up a good fight. If you want to make the red and blue argument, I'll give you the Sturt song, which happens to be A Grand Old Flag. So should I support Sturt on that basis? I've got a big tip for you!

Goal kicking accuracy 2023
Of course that doesn't factor in actual total shots, but you'd have to think if you're kicking with that accuracy, you're not going to have too many complete misses. I can't remember any from those two, but it's possible that there were a couple.

Goal kicking accuracy 2023
Actually, Fritta is 16.4, (80%), and should be on top of that chart, while the Chin is 13.2 at 87%. Which one would you rather have kicking for your life? I think I'd take either.

Goal kicking accuracy 2023
Of course, at this early stage of the season, if you've kicked, say 15.4, you'll beat all those above hands down, but not appear on the list.

The Melbourne - Norwood connection
Maybe I didn't make it as clear as I might have. He displayed the same degree of usefulness at both clubs, ie. not much. I have no idea why we recruited him in the first place. Maybe it was because of what he might have become, because it certainly wasn't on the basis of what he'd already done, and I say that as a Glenelg supporter. He was certainly a fairly big boy, but size isn't an important factor unless you can use it.

The Melbourne - Norwood connection
I was there, unfortunately. I think it was the first GF at Football Park. Back in those days, for reasons that escape me, the wind often used to howl down the ground. I can't bring myself to watch it all again, it was bad enough at the time, but as I recall, Fred Phillis, who was the best full forward of that era, couldn't buy a goal. Although he regularly kicked 100 or more over multiple seasons.

The Melbourne - Norwood connection
No, Sellar was from Glenelg. He was as useful there as he was for us
