Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Also, they are required to use 2 x first round picks in any 4 year period. When did they last use one?

Jeffy has had a good year overall. Some of our better players have had significant injuries too. Gawn, Jones, Hogan, Viney. An unfortunately reality of AFL

THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
Feeling like his wife cheated on him?!! Please! Typical star footballer that has never had someone say 'no' to him until it's too late and it all turns to sh!t. Then still cant understand why. Carey, Ablett snr, Jobe, Hird.... different situations but all oblivious to the consequences of their actions. IT WAS YOU WHO DID THE CHEATING JOBE!!!

Only a dumb club would trade Weid when he is a 2nd year key fwd with potential. He's worth more to us going ahead than his value now on the open market. I'd much rather Kelly or Devon Smith or Kennedy or Hopper from GWS than Patten or Lobbe. We are still badly short of quality mid depth, particularly outside quality. Dont get me wrong, Lever would be a good get, but I'd wet my pants if we got Kelly.

Josh Kelly
With Dusty looking more likely to re-sign with the Toigs, Kelly will become the main AFL mid left OOC. Unless we are prepared to spend $1mill+ pa, he'll be elsewhere in 2018. Can't see it happening, but he is just what we need

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
Not apples with apples. Watts plays a different role and Weid is a 2nd year key forward with only a handful of games under his belt.

Given his versatility, probably is. If the Weid came on a bit earlier than expected and we got Lever, TMac would certainly carry trade value, much more than his bro or Frost. It would be interesting to see what eventuated if we got Lever early in the trade period and a club offered a future 2018 first rounder for TMac

No. Selwood also beats him for kicks and marks

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
AFL has confirmed that every club can trade is 1st round pick this year. The rule is 2 first rounders in 4 years, including 2 in the last 4 years. However, clubs can apply to the AFL for exemptions based upon "acting responsibly". Not sure how this places the Cats next year with their trades for Danger and Touey. The Hun has an article explaining this, but the paywall stops me reading

Get Ben Brown...... a decent haircut.

With the extra 20% in the salary cap $800k is what he would expect and other stars on our list will command in the coming years. No, we do not have to use this year's 1st round pick. Isn't it 2 over a 4 year period? We used 2 on Oliver and Weid. I can see ANB or Kent being in the mix for a trade, possibly Stretch. Might be 3-way. This draft is reportedly good at the top end but shallow. However we all know Taylor's ability to find gold late in the order. Next year's is supposed to be high quality and deep. I hope we keep our 2018 1st and 2nd round picks, or trade for one as Saints did with Hawks this year.

I will definitely need to keep the passengers side window open as i have heard from Biff that Bitters likes to drive whilst marinading in his foul flatulence. Might end up doing a Special Robert and hitch hiking most of the way. I know for sure he won't touch my deconstructed lattes or tofu burgers

Are you talking about his 100 in 100 days bet (which he won) from his Hawthorn days?

Watts as 3rd tall forward. Plenty aren't contested marking machines. Heard of Buddy Franklin?

FWIW Sam McLure reporting on SEN that Lever himself has met with Melbourne officials and some Melbourne players. Also reports that he is happy to stay at Crows as he likes the life there, just unhappy with their offer Edit. Got in before me qwerty

Rather a mid like Hopper or Dev Smith from GWS. Out of contract, yet to accept the GWS offers. More getable than Kelly, Dusty or this Clown from Norf

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Not that I have any idea of the money involved, but I would think it might need to be at least $200k more than Adelaide's offer for him to choose us. Playing and winning a final might also help our cause with any player we are chasing

Zak Jones
Take the red n blue glasses off mate. Zac would be best 22 and has 8-10 years of best 22 ahead of him at swans. His high draft pick and the reported 4 year deal is reflective of how he is valued.

I think Hogan is genuinely better than those three. The problem is that, for various reasons, we are not seeing it and won't for some time. This year has been his annus horribilis. Will we ever see it again?

Can't see it happening Earl. Wishful thinking perhaps. We'll see in a few months
