  1. Had Max or Weid kicked game saving goals vs Adelaide we'd probably not raise this. Our set shot inaccuracy has been down right embarrassing this year, and much of it less than 40 out striaght in front! Petracca, Tmac, Weid, and just about all the rest. That Preuss comes in for an occasional cameo and kicks a couple truly say much about our accuracy.
  2. The VFL report on the AFL website said he dominated this week, 40+ hitouts
  3. I would too, AF and I think that's how it will pan out. But we seem to always have at least one injured back, often 3. So Omac being depth is going to get a semi-regular game. Btw, I think Omac had a reasonable year in 2018. He was solid in many games and if my memory serves me correctly took some decent scalps. Not Hawkins at Kardinia Park, unfortunately.
  4. So not Gawn's simple miss in the dying minutes? Not Weid's easier miss from straight in front with 15 sec left? I'd say those individual efforts could've won us the game, but we lost. Is it their fault we lost, did they cost us the win? Of course not. However, i don't see anyone making cheap comments about their skills or condescending with alternative career paths. I don't believe Oscar had a good game or has had a good year. But i'm not going to heap the blame on him for us losing. We had many passengers for the last quarter and a half, and a lot of players made numerous costly mistakes. Oscar was not alone.
  5. So it's Oscar's fault we lost and the club should tell him to become a golfer instead of a footballer? Troll.
  6. Congratulations on using both a war and a mountaineering metaphor in the one sentance. However neither have any real link to the game of football. FWIW I've heard suggestions that Mitchell can be a bit of a [censored], which would certainly affect his impact on any group.
  7. Frost has been tried as a forward. Total disaster.
  8. I watched the replay closely and I think Omac looks considerably lighter across the chest and shoulders than last year. With Jenkins next to him he was a stick figure. No strength at all. Gets pushed off the contest much easier this year. I wonder if there's something not right with him atm (queue the NQR comments from Demonland whip handlers).
  9. He's Gaaaaawn! Was spotted leaving with a large, full paper bag http://m.afl.com.au/news/2019-06-03/coach-call-brendon-boltons-future-at-carlton
  10. Hawthorn in Tasmania And Richmond have in Cairns until not so long ago
  11. Yes, I've seen the Ess Hanger and Western Oval facilities. Also I've been to the Arden St set up a number of times: they have a link with my family's primary school. I'm a novice at these kind of visions, as we all probably are. But i believe we could keep Goschs for drills and match sims and use the grass pitches nearby for rehab, sprints, etc (as we currently do). The Tan is nearby for running. For me it's the land and building/s that are needed. Of course, this requires major funding through partnernerships, as you mention. I have no inside info, but I doubt PJs Yarra Park plan had much detail or any real funding behind it. IMO it was always pie in the sky, given that no gov't supported it and the park has protection overlays Can't remember who on here doctored the maps images superimposing the Magpies Holden Centre buildings next to Goschs, but it seemed reasonable and not a big impact on the parkland.
  12. Exactly right Mr Old. IMO members would probably prefer a dedicated club members bar at the G during home games, bit like the Betty Cuthbert bar, level 2 in the northern stand. A privately run coffee cart at training would be enough, given it's usually a morning thing
  13. The answer for 99 out of 100 supporters is never. Too hard to get to. Plus, the MCC don't offer a bar or cafe at the G during the week because it would affect their contract with Spotless. The priority is to get a good training ground, good indoor facilities and an admin base that are reasonably close together. My guess is that if we were to build the latter two near Goschs, the ground itself wouldn't be an issue. Eg. the triangle of land near the tollway off ramp or towards Olympic Blvd
  14. Ah yes, look who's back... It's Range Rover!
  15. The VFL write up on the AFL web site said he dominated and had 40 something hit outs???
  16. You are indeed a realist. This kind of nuanced thought has no place here!!! ??
