What's the bet that Curnow & McKay kick straight next week?
I still recall Travis Cloke kicking 7 straight against us years ago.

What are your faves ATM @Winners at last?
I've moved on from the 70s.
Watching Kula Shaker live concert in Cologne (2016). So good. Their best song (second last song of this concert) is Great Hosannah.

I think I'll go back to watching 70s music videos on Youtube.

I'm not sure if it's strictly on topic, but those women in Boney M were really hot.

Surely Franklin must retire at the end of the season? A shadow of his former self.
Other than his kicking Curnow (Charlie) is playing really well.
What's up with Walsh?
Warner tries to take on the tackler too often.
Excuse my ramblings.

Petty's absence should not be underestimated.

I inadvertently bought a visitor's ticket (MCC members) to Saturday's match.
If anyone wants it, please send me a private message. It's yours .... free to a fellow Demonlander.

Sparrow and Harmes in. No Woey unless he is the sub or there's a late change
Woey won't be the sub. Demons never name debutantes as the sub.
Poor JJ ... he really is on the outer. Thought he was a certainty to be in the 22 ahead of Harmes.
Walters being injured is something of a bonus. He's the type of player who cuts us up.

Yeah but that was 2021. Things move fast in the AFL

When is the next training session at Gosch's Paddock? Is it the Captain's Run on Friday?

Going to take the benefit of the doubt path on this and say I think he was going to leave this week independent of the result last Sat night.
It's never an easy decision to call time on a place you've called home for over a decade and with all the success he was able to achieve I'm sure he would have preferred to go out a different way. I haven't always loved his actions as a player or coach but I wish him the best.
I don't. Can't stand him.

It’s so out of the blue that I gotta wonder if he jumped or was pushed? Something tells me there’s a fair bit more to this story than meets the eye.
Hmm, I wonder if Mrs Hardwick had anything to do with this ... 😉

I was walking down Punt Road at night recently and tripped on a scooter that was lying on the footpath. (It was dark.) The upshot was that I 'did' my hammy in that episode .... It took me 3 weeks to fully recover. So Clarry should aspire to that timeframe for full recovery. Perhaps the Club would be interested in this information?

The world’s going to sht in a hand basket. We are surrounded by violence yet we expect this not to happen. There’s a fair chunk of football followers who are total lowlife scumbags. I’m an MCC member but far from a toff. The game against Collingwood last year my family and friends were verbally abused for the entire second half. I used to love the light hearted banter between opposition supporters but lately that’s just been replaced with incoherent abusive ramblings. No fun or joy in that. It’s a game FFS, we’re supposed to be able to enjoy it.
Now we rely on underpaid, poorly trained, largely immigrant security forces to maintain civility.Sadly I won't be going on KB, solely due to the presence of so many subhuman filth people. They destroy any enjoyment of being at the G.

I hate Michael Long. I've never forgiven him for his brutal assault on Troy Simmonds in the 2000 GF.

I hate Essendon, but seeing Hardwick suffer in his jocks was pretty enjoyable.

Sam Weideman is having a really good game tonight. Best I’ve seen him play I think.
Good to see him doing well.
(have just realised how handy he might be now, damn)
After his first 2 goals he kicked 3 points. Led/marked well though.

Ahh, my friend - that was the Maggie Brewery in Picnic Bay - the other side of the island. Yes - its NRL centric - > but if you batter your eyelids at the European backpacker staff, or buy enough rounds they'll flick it across to the AFL.
Hope you got to jump in the pool as well :)
oh ok ... I went to the Picnic Bay hotel, but not the Brewery. I also went to Mamma Roma for dinner, which I seem to recall was behind the Brewery?

Ah yes, the Aracadia Village Hotel.
I was at Maggie (as the locals call it) last year and had a few drinks at that pub. Fantastic beach nearby.
However, wouldn't they be screening an NRL match?

A bit ambitious for the GC boys to be signing 22 footballs to hand out to their supporters in the crowd.

He's referred to as a lizard. Not sure about that .... there's a case for him being described as a rikali, or an otter.
