GAMEDAY: Rd 01 vs West Coast
I remembered watching the Adelaide game and thinking what have they changed in terms of forward set up and tactics, the answer watching that quarter is absolutely nothing. Still long bombing it to outnumbered contests instead of lowering the eyes. Are the forwards leading to space, demanding the ball? (Question not criticism) Seriously we are playing against one of the best defences, donโt drop it on their heads!!!

Jesus we were actually in the contest and probably playing the better. But no reward for effort. Now we are completely fโed.

NON MFC: Round 01
Hearing that the pies wonโt be singing the song is one of the most ridiculous things Iโve ever heard. By all means donโt lock arms (even though youโve been doing it all night anyway with tackling) but for crying out loud every stand around and sing the bloody song. If the Dees win on Sunday and donโt sing the song Iโll be filthy. EDIT they sung it after all ?โโ๏ธ

TEAMS: Rd 01 vs West Coast
Missing Salem, Jones, and AvB. Sucks but they are can be covered, we've had a strong pre-season and early goals can build confidence. It looks like we're going for a smaller forward line compared with the past with Bedford, Kozzie, and Spargo in there along with mid-sized forwards Melksham and Fritch. For me those last two could be the key to our forward line, either one of them getting lose could force the Ealges to move their better defenders onto them freeing up TMac and Weid. Getting the ball to ground has never been more important with our smalls around the ball and I really hope the coaching staff show them the clip of Riewoldt tonight spoiling the ball into a dangerous area. To make life hard for their forwards, but as always a lot depends of our midfield putting in strong second efforts to make it hard for them to deliver with time and space.

NON MFC: Round 01
I wonder whether to make up for it they will do some kind of scratch match every week between the teams. Obviously very difficult to compare but then again if positions are on the line you would hope they would go all guns blazing.

NON MFC: Round 01
It's hard to control in the moment celebrations and all that but after the game surely they can have a little bit of control.

Sponsorship Tarps to cover empty seats
Lol just a suggestion! Lots of companies are going to be battening down the hatches for a while, only web-based delivery companies are going to be ones doing good business so feel free to propose another one to approach!

Injury List 2020
I'm absolutely gutted for AvB, the fact it's a broken foot but not even related to his previous recurring problems just makes you wonder what he has to do?

Sponsorship Tarps to cover empty seats
Iโm not sure if this is being discussed anywhere but we should be getting in touch with Amazon, Netflix, and other online based companies to offer sponsorship tarps to cover the empty seats in the ground. It will cover the bizarre look of the stands and will provide addition cash into the club, there is literally an entire ground that we could cover in it!

Coronavirus: AFL & MFC
It would suck and sour it a little, but I would take it.

PREGAME: Rd 01 vs West Coast Eagles
It's be interesting to see if there are tactics put into play with the shorten quarters and who it might help. Younger players who maybe aren't used to the rigours of full matches in these conditions may stay in the game for longer. I'd definitely like to see Kozzie play now, I had him having a game or two at VFL level before bringing him in but now with these conditions get him in there to put some electricity into the game. Oh and maybe TMac should start coughing, might stop their defenders wearing him like a glove!

Crown staying open is the high of greed, if ever there was a reason to close those cesspit casinos this would be it. You watch, schools and everything else will be closed but crown will still operate.

Oh whoops yeah ? don't know how I mucked that one up. But anyway peoples thoughts on it?

Coronavirus: AFL & MFC
Exactly, that's advice they are taking right now that the virus is not at it's worst so better to try to get games in now while they can than delay and have uncertainty on when/if the season will start. Stating the bleeding obvious but it makes early wins absolutely massively important!

Coronavirus: AFL & MFC
Probably an unpopular opinion, BUT if the season were to be pushed back enough that the MCG wasn't available for the Grand Final then I think this is a rare instance where it should be then played at the largest home ground of the highest finishing winner of the qualifying/preliminary finals. Meaning (for example) last years Grand Final would be played at either the SCG or the Olympic Stadium. Last years would still be at the G, but it would be an interesting opportunity for interstate teams to have the Grand Final. I'm all for tradition, and I firmly believe the Grand Final's traditional home at the MCG should remain. But for these extraordinary circumstances, Marvel Stadium should not be the default next venue in line.

Coronavirus: AFL & MFC
Random question on the shortened quarters, what is that meant to achieve? Is that under the assumption that at some point they will be forced to cram more games into less time so therefor recovery time will be shorter?

Coronavirus: AFL & MFC
All those efforts by the fitness staff to get our boys to a point that no one else could go to. I wonder if they will alter the way they go about things to allow us to go harder in the shorter bursts.

COVID-19 MFC Crowdfunding
That's something I could definitely get behind, we donate to Demonland to direct the funds towards memberships. The other positive side of it is that it's a figure which is good promotion for the club/sponsors. I was going to look into whether there was a digital membership I could add to my current one.

Injury List 2020
I wonder whether his lowered immune system that the club would take an ultra cautious approach to him to shield him from the coronavirus. He's up there as one of my favourite players and really is one of the few that has that 6th sense for just knowing where to put it.

Requesting Casey Home Games
They'll be televised. The OP is just suggesting that as crowds won't be in there perhaps we could gain a home ground advantage by playing them at Casey. I like the creative thinking but I went to the game preseason vs Adelaide and you could tell the skills were severely hampered by the windy conditions. As someone else pointed out as well, at least the signage will provide some kind of sponsorship income for the clubs.
