Interesting- mine's 27 points. Depending on how long to go, then I revert to the old "goal per minute"

Well I saw the Demons squander a 27pt 3/4 time lead at Victoria Park back in the 80's so .... That's not enough.

This false narrative plays to the popular stereotype of Dees supporters as fickle and elitist. The media enjoy perpetuating it as the public laps it up. If it enrages Dees supporters, all the better to drive their engagement (eg talk back radio, clicking on articles). No eloquent arguments based on evidence (our match attendance relative to membership number is actually one of the highest in the AFL) is persuasive.

Can't reason someone out of something they were never reasoned into in the first place.

Been having similar discussions/arguments lately with a collingwood supporting workmate.
Today he was bagging our attendance to games.
I told him our average attendance was pretty good.
He didn't like that .... Jumped on his phone and found we were 6th in the league behind the Big4 and Geelong.
He didn't like that either and quietened down.

That's the thing. Some people think the last three minutes of the third quarter of GF was how played for the entirety of 2021. Recall the loss to GWS. Their midfielders waltzed out of centre bounces and our forward line was anaemic (picture high kicks to Spargo matched against two tall defenders...). Re-read the postgame thread; midfield rubbish, Fritsch to be dropped, Goodwin to be sacked.

Form fluctuates. Sustained success is hard. Premierships are a possibility not a certainty.

    100%
The backline held the joint together for much of the middle part of the year.
Front end of the ground didn't work much better than ours is now though Kozzie and Frittta were kicking a few.

At some point it’s not bad luck it’s bad management.
Their players are clearly unfit and their injury management is clearly rubbish. It’s been like that for 3 seasons.

Hunt doesn’t seem to be struggling for fitness, having come from Melbourne.

    Yeah .... We've been there.

Smells of club panicking. Just let us know what you know and realise it’s just one player. It makes no sense

They know without Oliver for an extended period the season is doomed .... Doomed I tell ya.
The injuries are starting to mount.

DubDee - I am with you 100% on this.  Last night there was so much zoom in that viewers had no idea about what was up the field and where anyone was aiming much of the time.  Appalling.

Is Terry Wallace back on air?

I thought it was Wallace at 1st.
    I think it's Burgoyne.

Yep... my bookmark is a couple of minutes earlier... the failed disposal by Mitch Hannan

(otherwise you miss Caleb Daniel dumping Gawn)

My Bookmark Is Bont's goal when the commentators are giving the game to the dogs and hanging the Norm Smith around Bont's neck.

  8. I thought the Hunter one was funny.
Something you might see from a wag at the local footy.
Can understand why the AFL wouldn't want it continuing though.

The Collingwood smartarze trying to humiliate a kid infront of 50,000 people, not so much.
AFL MRO .... MRP, whatever TF they're called, are a joke.

And a Dee’s home game to boot.

Would it be too fanciful to expect 90K at this game?

Collingwood supporters are feeling it brewing.
Pie mad mate is tipping a biggest ever home and away crowd.
Regardless whether it is or not, it's gonna be the biggest H&A game we've been involved in that I can remember..... Ever.

I think you severely underestimate how difficult it is to take hangers. It's why we see so few, and in fact, we are seeing less and less each season, because unlike before, players who jump too early, use hands in the back or interfere with the contest and don't hold the mark, get penalised.

I applaud Kosi for giving it a red hot crack as often as he does. Eventually one will stick and it'll be the mark of the century.

Meh .... I took plenty of hangers.
Also sheet myself a few times when I got higher than expected and dropped 'em.

And the AFL has never been so lenient in marking contests.
They want the big speccy to sell the game.
Kossie needs to commit and not just speculate when he flies and rip one down.

Wouldn't say multiple but I definitely see theirs a lot stable then our current game plan which to be fair isn't far off at all.

What they have that we don't is good disposal.
Last couple games they've picked us apart with it.
