    Undoubtedly he has talent and at his best would enhance any team: unfortunately as has been discussed at length, getting the best consistently out of talent isn't one of the MFC's strong points so I really don't know if he would be a good get. But it does sound as if he needs a change of club.

    But we all know that AFL coaching contracts are not worth the paper they are printed on. If Buckley continues to underperform he will go, contract or not.

    Question - was he slow before his initial foot injury? (I don't remember about his pace pre first injury, and I don't mean necessarily prior to its diagnosis).

    The guy was picked by our club, he gave his best, and showed some glimpses early on. To refer to him as "an absolute dud" is insulting and IMO is more a reflection on the poster than the player.

    IF true, Dixon must be absolutely spewing, and would find it hard to commit to anything to do with such a narcissistic bully boy again. Those utterances presumably were made in earshot of other players at least, and possibly members if the public. Can't do a lot for team cohesion What us his contract status?

    The whole AFL are a disgrace on this - and the fish rots from the head.

    Richmond has had a dream run injury wise, and look at their stability at VFL and AFL levels. And while strategic injury is not the cause for us missing finals it certainly played a big role. Without those strategic injuries out depth would not have been so tested. Take Martin and Cotchin and maybe Reiwoldt out and they would be just above average: Duckwood missing or playing injured, plus Dangerfield and Hawkins and Geelong would / have struggled. IMO only Sydney (academy) and GW$ ( draft gimmies) have enough real depth to cope with multiple strategic injuries.

    How about our guys lacking hunger and discipline at vital times? Not grasping opportunities when their fate was in their hands? Talking top 4 a month out from finals? Believing their own unfounded hype?

    That last free was straight out of the Selwood Bros 'how to cheat' book. An appalling decision. PS and of course the umpiring team will come out and say it was fair and just.

    Ceratainly seem to be a two man team. One could speculate whether such a jolly good flogging would be detrimental, as compared to gaining some finals experience by the young players.

    Is Neita still involved with Hawthorn? If not he should be called in to mentor Weid: if he is not available how about Ox? Looks as if he has talent but needs mentoring.
