  1. The 2000's have just been the icing on the cake. Being a Demon supporter since the time of the Kennedy assassination, Cassius Clay defeating Sonny Liston, and Beatlemania has been one hit after another....

Guess we should blame the Beatles for starting the one hit after another trend.

  2. Bit of a surprise ?

39 — Lewis Taylor (Brisbane Lions)

38 — Marcus Bontempelli (Western Bulldogs)

32 — Luke McDonald (North Melbourne)

19 — James Aish (Brisbane Lions)

7 — Kade Kolodjashnij (Gold Coast)

5 — Luke Dunstan (St Kilda)

    5 — Tom Langdon (Collingwood)

    3 — Harry Cunningham (Sydney)

1 — Josh Kelly (GWS), Jarman Impey (PA)

  3. Yes I like what Brisbane have done and they have some great kids coming through. Most people thought they were gone after the exodus of players they had but they rebuilt through the draft smartly and are well ahead of where we are now, plus they finished off the season super competitively. A lot of upside with the players you mention plus Aish, Taylor, Green, Freeman, Hanley, Rockliff, Mayes, Martin, Rich to come back - they will be a good side quickly.

I have full trust in Roos but after what he did with Sydney with filling the team with recycled players, I'm still nervous about what's ahead!

To suggest that Brisbane finished the year super competitively is just nonsense.

They lost 3 of their last four games by huge margins, Crows 103, Freo 48 and Cats 62 with a win in between against a badly depleted Pies.

  4. With the way the game is played in recent years maybe the days of the bean pole ruckmen are over.

Sandilands and Leuenberger spend more time injured than on the field, perhaps we should look to types like Maric, Minson and Martin.

Very disappointing for Max after all he has been through to get on the field and his form has been encouraging.

    Best of luck big fella.

  5. He works hard and is ferocious. He can also get the footy. These attributes aren't that easy to find and for that I think he deserves a spot on the list in 2015.

But he clearly has no idea what to do with it when he gets it. And his kicking skills are below A-grade amateur level.

2015 will make or break him. I personally agreed with Tony Shaw when he said, you kick like Riley and you won't play much AFL.

Bit rich coming from Shaw, a guy who couldn't kick over a jam tin.
