Well, if we trade pick 3 for a mid and a pick in the top 10, then Wright might be worth picking up with the acquired pick? I'm still out of the country so I haven't been following closely, so I may well be talking out of my arse (what's new I hear you say).
There is an argument to say that what you produce out of your arse Tim is more newsworthy and relevant than many of the offerings I read on these boards.

Anyone know what's happened to James Muirhead, the promising leg spinner who played well in a couple of International T20s last year but is now back playing district cricket only?
My understanding is that Jimmy will feature in the longer format Jack.
A very very good prospect.

Happy with that, seems like an extraordinarily good deal to me

Robert Flower Tribute
Just something I put together over the past couple of nights.
Hope it brings back some great memories, or for the younger fans, does justice to how good this bloke was as a player.
Thankyou Ash, most enjoyable to watch and recall.

Pretty sure that is Ackerly.
On the ball as usual John

Dug mine out & had a look. That goal isn't on there. There's a bit against Essendon where he makes a couple of State players in Glenn Hawker & Daisy Williams look silly.
It's a seventeen minute Celebration of Robbie. Great stuff. Looking at that Elimination Final it's hard not to feel sorry for North's Roy Ramsay. Poor bugger never had a chance that day. Flower mopped up Mark & Goal of the day & pu on a clinic
I'm pretty sure if was Mark the pinball man (markc ?) who put it together & distributed it. I think it was a small donation to the club that secured you a copy
I have a copy and it was Mark Culbert who was good enough to provide it.
If I had the know how I would put it on YT.

No worries. I'm very much looking forward to Ash's next production
Probably shouldn't call it highlights as Robbie did stuff like that most weeks
I saw a great deal of RF during the eighties and I guess I took it all for granted, he was so good.
You expected the same quality week in week out and he delivered.

Here you go :
Thanks for posting that Go the Biff, so many wonderful highlights of the great man and so many memories.
Robbie was a wizard with the Sherrin, I'd almost forgotten just how good he was.

Smithy, the avatar might meed a re-work
Thanks for the timely reminder Jnr.

Pick 3 for a bloke who played poorly all season bar the Essendon game is a good result it seems to me.

Plenty of atmosphere at the game and an emotional win to Souths after 43 years in the wilderness.
-
James simply does not get hold of the Sherrin often enough to impress.
-
Good question, have we ever been beaten Rollo ?
-
Anyone interested in the game ?
Having resided in Qld for 28 years I have no option as League dominates the sporting landscape.
I don't follow any particular team but I'm enthusiastic about a South Sydney victory given what the club has been through and the forty odd years since they've greeted the judge.
On the other hand Canterbury don't impress one little bit.
-
Matters little what standard the comp is, you have to beat Essendon however.
Go Dees.
-
Watching the vision brings back so many memories. I'm convinced now that he was the most skilful player the game has ever seen.
As Joni Mitchell wrote in her song:-
"Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
'Till it's gone" ...
With you there Jack with Baldock second in my time.

I have a feeling the MCC may be working on something like this. I could imagine a statue as well.
They would be well deserved.
Absolutely, Robbie is the major reason my 3 boys elected to stick with the Demons.
All born early seventies and experienced little joy during the ensuing lean time for the club apart from #2 who was a beacon.
-
Do you think they still are?
Only the players would know.
Can't blame supporters however for feeling betrayed by the disingenuous drivel he frequently posted on twitter like 'can't wait to get out there again with the boys'.
WAP Mitch, hope you have about as much success with the Cats as McIntosh.

For Nasher and those who never got to see him play in person :
Thanks for posting, great memories and brought a few tears I don't mind admitting.
Saw quite a bit of RF particularly in the eighties, just a magic footballer.

RIP Champion.

As is often the case PF weekend produced the best footy.
The GF was a real let down.
Congrats to Hawthorn who have been a great club over the past 4 decades.
Premiers again however in reality very lucky to overcome Port, a side that we ran close on both occasions this year.

I spoke to Frawley after the second semi , he'd had a few and I asked him
about remaining a Demon, arrogant [censored] said about as much chance of
us winning a flag over the next 3 years .
I didn't want to share it but he's s [censored]. Good riddance
Frawley's form this year has been terrible as has been his attitude.
Pick 3 sounds good to me.

Good to see a clean cut humble young bloke take out the Charlie.

Things are grim when Andrew Bogut posts that this decision indicates that the AFL are a shambles.
