I misread my email inbox just now, thought it said 'Oliver to defect' fell off my chair literally.

The 'elite' part for me, and of course this is based on YouTube, is that Oliver own a 'stopwatch'. He presses it and the world stops and he finds a way to dispose of it effectively. Decision making is brilliant. I back this up with the way his teammates ran on the outside when he's in the contest, they expected him to win and use it to advantage.

What I thought was telling in the highlight reel (not mentioned that I can see on the phone) is that when he has or is about to get the ball his team mates take off running on the assumption that he is going to win the contest and deliver the effective disposal. The confidence with which his teammates runs off suggest that they have faith in him, and that he does it regularly. They are not hedging their bets that there might be a turnover. The way he props (as a big fella) selling candy is also huge, if he can keep that up he will upset some defences. His kicking into 50 also looks like it has vision.

For me now (after having been in the keep a lid on it crowd) having Hogan in the team is like knowing you own Black Caviar after her first four races. There is nothing you would trade not even Fyfe.

Snap, wanted to post that as well, was it a tackle or a mugging? Do you reckon he and Viney have some sort of comp going, their hard ball gets are brilliant. Honourable mention to Salem for the bump on Ebert, (who I reckon will be roasted by Hinkley for diving). This will be the first year in for-ever where 2-5 in our best and fairest is a mystery. Jones to win but jeez Tyson is going to go close.
