LH I like your last paragraph but Pandora's Box was opened some years ago and the evil is out and won't be put back in. The upside is that with good governance this was exposed.

What it shows is that 99.9999% of the time that Oliver would have got the votes. Why not this time? The AFL will defend their system claiming it just one bad apple. Only a change of leadership at the top has any chance of real change. It's time for the old boys club to be broken up but I seriously doubt that will happen there are too many vested interests from the board on down.

Hmm you seem to have a genuine case of continuing troubles KDF. I hope sounding off here helps you. I have to admit if I were you I would have seriously considered pulling the plug. Have a coffee, go for a walk and then write a letter, not an email they are too easily dismissed or lost, send it by registered post to the President explaining your problems and asking in light of your loyal support over decades and problems for some compensation. Where gambling goes corruption follows. E.G. Crown. Gil expects the club's to get out of gambling venues but cling desperately to their sponsor money and allow an avalanche of betting ads at grounds etc. My father used to say that is hypocritical but hardly new at the AFL.

I went there for the vfl grand final. Prior to that it was when the blues played there so a long time between drinks. It reminded me how poor the old VFL grounds were and Princes Park was one of the better ones. I hope the weather on Saturday is better than on VFL GF day I almost froze to death.
