How do you test a broken jaw?
-
And that is fine bobby, I usually get labelled a pessimist but I do believe what I have written. In fact some would say it is too early to write off this year. I hope they can produce the goods in the second half of the year to cheer you up. Carn the Dees.

They bought him a new mirror

So I assume you are happy not to have had one in 55 years?

Over the off season we had 10 or 11 good players have major surgery they all started training late. Some had no match play preparation and some I don't think had fully recovered. Next year's preparation will be much better in that they will get in a full load. Between now and then I expect most to regain some confidence, form and play at a higher level in the second half of the year. A couple of players will either improve be moved move on. With a little luck the FD will revise the game plan to better handle 666. I remember last year in an interview with the then GM he said quite often a team falters just when they look like going all the way. Improvement is seldom linear. I believe this year we will finish bottom 6 and therefore have a low drafting pick to either recruit a good draftee or use to recruit an established KPF. If most of these happen we will make the GF in 2020. Think of 2019 as part of the build up to a GF in 2020.

Yes you are, football clubs are seldom that clever. A bit like conspiracy theories it is usually just a [censored] up.
-
Cannot see that happening this year, the coach is too stubborn.
-
There are more than two, who replaces the others?
-
I honestly think there is too much wrong at present to have any impact this year. The later half of the season will see improvement but by then it will be too late. 2020 will be much better.

It will not start until we get players back from injury ding think May ( month that is ) at the earliest.
-
That has been the way for 53 of the last 55 years Soidee. Sadly I don't see it changing in 2019.
-
Yes it beggars belief, I get the feeling that Goodwin is fairly set in his views. Seems he only changes when forced. No sure why we rushed to renew his contract. Obviously the board / GM have a different view than me.

It would beat Renault!

He said they didn't.

He would make Petracca look even slower.

He is playing in the centre as I understand it. He is a good player who has some off field issues, because we traded him does not instantly make him a spud. A year ago you were cheering him.

There is a simple fact Freo have won games without Hogan scoring and they sit way in front of us. Early days but Freo 1 Dees nil.
-
He is an X player we are allowed to talk about him, while I agree he was far from perfect, he would be better than anyone we have in the forward line this year.

Mystery injury?
-
One might say we have perfected that one BB, top of the ladder.
-
There lies the big problem, you want two out but have no one to put in their place. The simple fact is that in early April we have so many injuries that the cupboard is bare. There will be minimal changes.

Chicken is fairly soft and won't break the screen. However a stubbie would be devastating.

80% will not get you on the field in 2019. Still think he will struggle this year like the team in general. No team has ever come back from bottom after three games to make a GF let alone win one. Think 2020.
-
Sadly I think that is accurate.

On a good day it holds 20k, facilities ordinary and no Swans signage . And in the end the afl could not care less.
