I actually think our current problem is not enough good players against the top half of competition. It is not unusual but as fans we tend to over rate our players ability.

You cannot develop players who don't have the necessary talent in the first place. The majority of draftees don't make it past three years. Sadly we seem to get more than our fair share. Baker has really not shown a lot at VFL level, I have seen him in a number games. He does not have the speed / endurance to be a top level winger.

The problem is fd that the forward line will not change much for the first game or the first few sadly. Yesterdays forward line will struggle to kick a winning score against every team. I am praying that both the browns will be back soon or our year will be over by June.

Agree but he has had 34 games for an average of 6 kicks per game, 2.4 tackles 0.7 goals. His long kicks struggle to make 40 metres I think the writing is on the wall, surely by now almost anyone is worth investing a few games to see if they can do better.
