Ross I think you will find that most clubs are like this. That does not make it right just they way they operate. Saying that a Footy club is controlled by the members is in a lot of cases crap.

WE sure don't represent the MCC a large part of the membership are not MFC supporters. We are a football club that plays at the MCG and has some MCC members who support Melbourne. Beyond that IMO we are just a Football club that plays in the AFL.

I have a lot of friends who are members of Collingwood and Richmond they all tell me they have not been to the members Bar/ Eating in years. They claim the facilities barely break even. I don't think these things make a lot of money like they used to 20-30 years ago. On any account happy if you get them I just see them as a poor second to having the best training facilities for the players.

I will take good complex for player training. Stop. The rest is not important. Happy to bring my own chair to sit and watch them train and I don't care where it is.

In 2021 I would rather have him playing in the ruck than Bradtke.

Not so sure it was stable rjay it used to leek like a sieve which is usually a good indicator of people having different views.

Yes it was the best option but the Government wanted to make it the home of cricket as well as us not having two cents to rub together to make it better.

I am talking about his salary. Why were North so keen to get him out? his 2020 season was reduced to little because of a knee injury. Seems he still has it.

In general that is true however if you are just maintaining the "old boys club" like the AFL Then it may not be the case. The only major mistake I can see this board has made is renewing the coach's contract before a ball had been bounced in 2019.

I was just suggesting it is not only Carlton who make mistakes. We paid overs for a bloke with a crook knee. In the end I can just see Carlton getting there first. Of course a large part of that is doubts about the MFC making a good fist of what they have. half a century of failure leaves its mark.

What about us paying overs for a bloke who probably won't play the first half of the season?
