When are the Teams announced.😁
There will be 25- 26 players named tonight. Let's hope Petty isn't one of them. With him we go in with 17 players contributing on the field.

An interesting interview with some good questions - a couple of which goody did the classic politician strategy of answering without actually addressing the substantive part of the question.
I always find those examples interesting for what the subtext might be.
By the by, it annoys me when media people ask a question with muriple elements, or ask several questions at once.
It allows the interviewee to cherry pick which element or question they want to answer - and more significantly the which ones they want to ignore (although that choicr can be instructive).
It's called answering the question they wanted you to ask.

They were sold out earlier in the week (was hoping to snag one, I went last year and the Dees won, was an enjoyable afternoon).
You will be much better off at home. You will not have to endure 70k laughing pies supporters

I want him laid out cold on the MCG turf.
The only thing that will make me feel remotely better.
You are destined to continue being not better. When it happened only one player remonstrated with him. We don't do that stuff, mores the worst. Push overs.

Last year I said we were beginning to look like The Dogs. Win a GF and then fade to mediocrity. It looks more like it with ever passing week. The loss of Brayshaw has been hugh. We won't beat the pies on Monday. After the last month I will be surprised if we are even competitive.

So… our Flag WAS a fluke then. That’s what you’re saying, right? It’s one thing to b!ttcch and moan about the subsequent years but to call our premiership a fluke is disgusting.
And btw, unless and until other posters complain about my “intrinsic almost transcendental bond with the group” - whatever tf that means - I’ll continue to post whatever I like in terms of conversations had with the players.
It's beginning to look like it.

sobering.....and hard to argue with. It actually quite eloquently sums up where we are. Bit harsh on Petty. I would have thought there were worse.
I honestly think its a bit strggle street from here on in....short of some miracle or two. Someone(s) has to find the form of better times...and perhaps someone might step out of the shadows.
Otherwise the party might be over.
KB is bigger than Ben Hur in the context of things. If we see nothing....then the cupboard's bare.
It's our GF this year.

A lot of people are underestimating the loss of Brayshaw.

I’m surprised the club didn’t realise pics or an interview with our new recruit. Hopefully it comes out soon.
They are still in shock from Sunday.

JVR is so far superior in the ruck to Fullerton it's not funny.
Sadly you are correct. That says a lot more about Fullarton than JVR.

Having watched a fair bit of that game I can say I now understand why we have picked a KPF/ some time ruckman. Those prospects are not it. Max was playing at senior level at their stage of development.
-
Have I missed something? I thought that this mid season draft was about picking up a player because you were short on a player area because of injury or retirement or whatever. So the Dees pick a development kid when we have already a number in the development stage for his position. So either I have missed the point ( entirely likely ) or we have little confidence in the development players already selected for this position.

That would be harder than getting William to call Harry.

I have given up going to this game when it is a pies home game. Any seat I am likely to get is in the oxygen mask section. TV for me sadly but thats life somethings you have to accept gracefully.

more AI of course
and AI will be like social media - lots of good things ... but lots of bad things too
eventually you won't be able to tell if text, a voice, a picture or a video is real or generated.
nothing will be unequivocally real, the truth will become an archaic concept that historians and philosophers will ponder over
Thank God I won’t be around but what sort of world am I leaving my Grand children.

My old granny was a teetotaller, never touched a drop. But did take the drop of medicinal brandy before bed that the good doctor prescribed. but that was all. I had to purchase the brandy just cannot remember the name but it was cheap. And I was about 14..

Its a shame Union has struggled to get traction in recent years, particularly since the Wallaby glory days. I dont mind watching it compared to League which is simply hideous.
I am the reverse. Simply don't understand Union rules.

Not privy to all the financials but the Rebels would have been bleeding money from the moment they entered the comp.
Rugby Australia just cutting away to save the heartland states interests.
I think I read $26 mill in the red.

Surely Fullarton plays if Petty injured. If not, why did we recruit him? Did he not drop out of the selected squad through illness? If so, must be close. With Freo having two genuine ruckman he can assist Max, particularly with the calf, and spend time forward.Means that JVR can 'stay at home' up front longer. More of a genuine ruck. Open to other suggestions. For me it's way to early for Jefferson based on one good performance.
That was Fullarton.

Last week was a shocker. I haven't seen the whole team play with that level of effort since the infamous Geelong debacle. That week we lost the coach and were then blessed with the X pies disaster. Interesting that Inspite of only winning two games this year the tigers play with a lot more enthusiasm than us over the last month. Perhaps the loss of our assistant coach is having a larger affect than we imagined.
