It’s complete BS the media choose to focus on Mays staging after what the umps dished up and how it changed the momentum of that game with two free kick goals in the first 5 mins of that quarter.

If it was a Collingwood or Carlton, it’s all you’d hear about.

Ignore them the multitude have to justify their existence every week.

  2. After last night game I have decided that we will not make the GF and we may sneak into 7/8th place. Too many injuries and out of form players. So I am just enjoying each win that happens. I am not thinking about next week until at least Wednesday. Enjoying a win end of story.

PS my god there are some dreadful doom sayers on here.

    Entire club is scared.

The players are scared of contact, scared of going when it's their turn, scared of getting in someone's way and scared of making a mistake.

Coaches are scared of making difficult calls, scared of admitting how bad we are, and scared of Goodwin.

Pert and Roffey are scared of being wrong. They will go down with the ship.

We are barely recognisable. We have no cohesion, no hunger, no intensity and no desire.

They are zapped of all confidence, not playing for the coach and definitely not playing for each other.

I was embarrassed by Clarry's behaviour all night and more embarrassed that the club keeps rewarding his performances and behaviour.

Standards are an absolute mess and you can see and feel it at the ground that the culture, spirit, connection whatever you want to call it is broken.

Just in case you missed it we won.

Deserves its own thread but a massive [censored] you to the disgracefully large contingent of you so-called Melbourne “supporters” who choose not to go to games to “protest” or some other [censored].

Not for a second having a go at those who can’t go for financial or personal reasons. Almost none of us can get to every game.

But if you stayed home because you’re fed up with Goodwin or you think our season’s shot or you want to “send a message” to Roffey or Pert, or you think we’re boring or whatever, [censored] you.

Don’t sit at home and complain that we can’t attract talent in the trade period - who wants to play in a half empty MCG when North’s 10,000 fans are more vocal than ours? Don’t complain about our players looking devoid of confidence when they don’t get the sort of lift from the crowd that most other clubs get.

If you’re able to go, and you don’t, get stuffed.

Can you please tell it straight I am not sure what you mean. Seriously yes I was there freezing to death. Great glorious defensive win.

    Gawn - played with passion

    vanRooyen - was never involved

    McVee - classy and composed

    Windsor - some uncharacteristic errors

    Howes - little to commend

    Turner - no second efforts

    Bowey - needs to lift

Recovering from a significant foot injury. By all accounts TMac has explained how it was coming back from such an injury, and he was the whipping boy last season. He has picked up his game this year.

Then why the hell do we keep playing him. Give Fullarton a game, how could give less.

  7. Today I went to my grand daughters basket ball game. They won by 1 point. After trailing all game, the opposition led by 1 point with 10 seconds to go all they need to do was maintain position. With 6 seconds to go we stole the ball. Our  girl is a good player but not a good shooter. With all our hearts in our mouths she drove to the ring and straight in.  I have seldom celebrated more with parents etc. nothing the Dees can possibly do tonight will equal that game. By they way they are the Devils!

Maybe it's time Brimbank Council adopt the same rules that Greece has. Passport and bag check at all entry points. Problem solved.

BTW been to Greece a dozen times. Never scared. Never been to St Albans. Thanks for the heads up.

It's no worse than numerous other suburbs in Melbourne. Youth lawlessness is a big problem in the second decade of the 21st century.

How can you say that to @layzie Old Dee? Wasn’t it you who said, just a couple of days ago, that you’d had enough and were taking an extended break from DL? (Mind you, said “extended break” happened to last a good 6 hours!).

Yes I did, funny about that. Good pick up. Some comments I just couldn't  resist. After the shambles of a game like  KB it pays to let your brain settle before moving fingers. I will probably go tonight even though I have less than zero confidence.

I don't come on much other than match days and a day or two during the week because of the foam that constantly spews out on these boards. If it's not outlandish sweeping negative statements about how [censored] we are, it's people who whinge about negative behaviour on here before it's even happened which is just as negative.

You want to go back to the times of just chatting footy? Find a few mates and text them regularly, that's what I've been doing. It's better than running the open gauntlet of garbage here day after day like a soap opera.

    Not sure why you continue.

This thread is like 'barley', or parliament with its privilege, isn't it, layze; you can safely say stuff that would elsewhere be roundly slinged and arrowed! 😄

That's because this thread has knowledge and experience. The great unwashed don't come on here.

    yeah soft as

Trac just played on with broken ribs and ruptured spleen

not physically or mentally soft, our Trac. He is just able to differentiate during game with pre or post game

Its a mental thing. In your wildest dreams could you imagine a Pies player doing the same thing? The pies just wanted to win more than us it was obvious to everyone.

Whether we need a new coach or coaching team.   We definitely need more mongrel.

far too soft. You should never share a joke with someone who has DELIBERATELY ended a mates career.

When you see a player shake hands with a thug who ended one of your team mates career you know we are as soft as butter.
