  1. I’m not going to bet the maid’s wages on him being a match winner Red
  2. Well it's after noon so too late for April fool jokes. What is your sauce for this bombshell?
  3. Bah to all the worriers! We will be all over the bummers tonight and your good old Uncle Bitter will be there ( after an early warm up pub crawl ) to gloat over it. Dees by plenty!
  4. How is the vino going down tonight picket?
  5. Replace dishlickers with the Carlton "paper bags" and I'm with you picket.
  6. You used to pick up guest passes at a window near the gate but, as @daisycutter, notes they maybe on line now. Your question about where your guests sit is an interesting one. If it is a well attended game ( and I expect Friday will be ) they cannot sit near you because ... it is a reserved seat area and the seats are taken. If it is not a well attended game you may find vacant seats and use them. This is what I've done in the past. This year though it may be more difficult
  7. Agree loges his effort has been terrific. I am simply noting, that given the respective efforts of Weid and Brown in the Casey game, and now ....... Weid given the gig as emergency...... seems to send a message
  8. Fair point picket but it seems that Brown has been designated as injury protection only. Likely played his last game - barring injury.
  9. I consider myself a rather spiffy dresser.
  10. Anyone know the status of West Coast? Are they fielding their fourteenths again or can the covid lepers return?
  11. Once it's "gotten" WCW, the "ill" is quickly forgotten!!!!!!
  12. Why don't you all do what your dirty (but rich) old Uncle Bitter does and buy a premium membership?
  13. I had a modest pre season punt on both of them. Trac has shortened somewhat!
  14. Yes, I remember that ritual Ernie. Also we had to pay ( I think 50 cents) for the pleasure of playing. Insurance.
  15. Haven't heard anything, but given the ferocious physicality of his play, I wouldn't be surprised if he hobbled around for a day or two after every game.
  16. When I played picket, I wore Jenkin boots ( and I mean boots) with nail in nylon stops.
  17. Trac - What a powerhouse. I just hope his body can maintain the physical effort. Bowey- Not a bad game for a kid!!! Jackson - Also not a bad game for a kid!!! Superstar Oliver - Not spectacular but tough and is a ball magnet ANB - Solid. Continues to disprove the doubters. May - Ever reliable and consistent
  18. Good tough win. Gold Coast are genuine improvers and will push plenty of teams this year.
