Preuss looked like a guy who's played 8 games in 4 years, hopefully he improves during his surprisingly long 4 year contract.

Jeez he lays a good tackle and looks to have nice agility from that video.

Hogan has never kicked 50 goals in a season, he averages 38 goals per completed season.

Drafted 2012,

2013 - not eligible

2014 - No games - injured

2015 - 20 games  as a 20 year old - 44 goals

2016 - 21 games 41 goals

2017 - 10 games 20 goals

2018 - 20 games 47 goals

Hogan has kicked 152 goals, played 71 games. 5 years on list for 71 games 

In the time he has been available to play we have played 112 games Hogan has missed 41 games injured/illness/suspension averaging under 31 goals per season since available. Averages 2.1 goals per game played. On those figures he will never kick 50 goals in season. Yes he is a good player, a superstar he is not. 

Tom MacDonald this year averaged 2.6 goals per game which is better than Hogan has ever done.

Edit:- Coleman medalist 2018 Jack Riewoldt 2.9 goal per game.     Since 2014 Riewoldt has played in 115 games missing none.

Or in the same time that Hogan has kicked 152 goals Riewoldt has kicked 287. Hogan is no superstar.

So basically give him a full season, and he kicks between somewhere 40 and 50 goals like I said.

Needed outside run- we got (and believe this fella will dominate next year)

Lost - a injury prone mid/forward to siants

       - injury prone, not wanting to be here forward with all the 'potential' in the world. (i think we had a jack like that) 

We also got a quality VFL player (outside run) for nicks.

We also have 2 picks in the 2nd round but have a feeling that could change. to a 1st rounder we push hard enough. 

The main thing is the Dees have made it clear to other clubs we are good to deal with, so anything is possible! 

 

I know he's gone so we tend to downplay how good a player was, but Hogan was very much proven, and is a significant loss. We need to make up his 40-50 goals.

From his write-ups, sounds very much a project player that will take years to get up to speed.

Happy we've taken advantage of this rule, sounds like he was great at Casey and was a pretty high pick in his draft so must have some talent there.

We were a much better side late in the season when Frost came back in.

Look forward to listening, hope he tells us why Hogan was traded for so little.

He wasn't even offered a contract at GC, and if not for being steak knives, would've been a token 3rd or 4th rounder in exchange. As you say seems there's more to it. Hopefully works out for him/us though. We need a gem after being screwed over for Hogan.

Just as everyone did when Freo stated that categorically they were no longer chasing Hogan. No-one bought it and Freo just looked like D*cks.

And yet Freo got exactly what they wanted whilst paying way unders and we got royally screwed for Hogan. I'd rather have Freo's team dealing with trades than ours.

I remember there was an article about Collingwood looking into getting GC to terminate May's contract so they could pick him up as a free agent and GC would get a top5 pick FA compo. Hope we looked at that too, he's at an age where he should've come as a FA for us instead of costing us the best young KPF in the league.

Yes please, we've lost 50 goals from giving Hogan away for peanuts, this guy will make up most of that.

Hope he can actually get on the park with his concussion stuff. GC didn't offer him a contract so they cant have been too optimistic.

We need a  no1 key fwd now after trading Hagan for way unders. Tmac will cop double teams every game and his output will drop. Weed completely unproven. Forward line's gone from a strength to a glaring weakness.

Says Hogan deal will be one of  the highest value trades ever, demands 2xfirsts then ends up getting reamed by Freo.
