  1. All for it, of course, who wouldn't be, but we're basically looking at a combination of Kolodjashnij and VDB, with a dose of the Trengoves thrown in. If he can get back would be phenomenal, but it's a big if. No-one's been able to get him going for the last 3 years, so I'd be wary of the "we've finally worked out what's wrong" talk.
  2. Bennell discussion - such as it is - at around 20:00. "long process" yadda yadda.
  3. Getting him is the least of the battles. It's getting him on the park that's going to be the tricky part.
  4. We do have 3 of his ex-teammates in May, Kolodjashnij and more recently, Langdon, while Nev Jetta has played with him in some of the representative matches. Presumably the club are doing their homework.

  6. You're ignoring: - the huge range of factors that contribute to a team underperforming - how they might have performed had he NOT been there. (which could have been even worse). Much of which is covered by: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outcome_bias
  7. Another Demonland myth.
  8. Players will still get injured, and as with any medical condition, those injuries will not always respond to standard treatments in standard ways. Also, most of the treatment for the more serious and long-term injuries is managed off-site through specialists, with the club doctors only overseeing. It's the same for all clubs. Players are all basically seeing the same specialists.
  9. The medicos who contributed to making those decisions (Zain and Lallenac) are still there, and in the same roles. Maybe the club and FD know a bit more than you about injuries and treatments.
  10. "Head Doctor Zee Arain and club doctor Laura Lallenec will remain at the Dees."
  11. Refs: - Mere Ownership Effect, Endowment Effect - Sunk Cost Fallacy
  12. Looking at the points, Pick 3 = Pick 6 + 37. 3 for 6 + 1st 2020, even low first, would put us well in front.
  13. Though probably not much to do with Goodwin at all. It's why we have a football department and recruiting team.
  14. So did I. Lucky that with picks coming back the other way that's not what it cost.
  15. Stop kidding yourself, we were lucky to get what we did. No-one wanted him, even us.
  16. Or not.
  17. Might need to find a set of steak knives to go with that.
  18. Right, because opposition recruiters base their player ratings on a few puff pieces in the press during trade week. The only thing that might have driven up the price on Frost would have been fewer turnovers and goals out the back, but it's a bit late for that now.
  19. It is rubbish, but he doesn't know it.
  20. Finishing 3rd in the B&F is a poor year?
  21. Petty, Tomlinson. And O'Mac will be fine - with a full pre-season under his belt.
  22. Second rounder for Frost would be unlikely/daylight robbery.
  23. We won't take a Pick 3. We'll trade for a couple of lower first round picks (or some kind of combo with later picks). Apart from anything else, we need to find a mid second-rounder for Langdon.
  24. Josh Wagner was always going to be kept on, he's about the only back-up (mid-sized) defender we have.
  25. Phenomenal. And not just the possessions, the tackles and clearances are also right up there. OK, lower level league, but still. https://sanfl.com.au/league/clubs/port-adelaide/280608/?league=sanfl&season=2019
