  1. Ok, I dont come over here (from bigfooty) as much as I would like to - and I'm starting to remember why. Mods, could please I ask you to please tidy up this thread by deleting anything off topic?..
  2. I understand exactly what you're saying. We should draft Gary Ablett Senior
  3. Fair bit of risk comes with Bennell, but if that was alleviated, then he'd be absolutely perfect. If we could do something for the double (Bennell and Dixon), then we'll have just about reached Nirvana you'd think. We'd just need to make sure their dealer doesnt deliver to Victoria..
  4. If you read throught the list of current free agents, its pretty slim pickings outside of Dangerfield, if you're trying to land a gun. The only way I see us bringing in an A grade mid this year, is by trading.
  5. Not that Id complain if we were able to lure James Aish, but when Roos said A+, I would hope he was referring to a bigger fish than that.
  6. I wouldnt be so sure. We are armed with pick 4 or 5, and I couldnt see any of the clubs below us trading their picks. We will have some salary cap room and are currently a better option than say Carlton or Essendon. We arent in a bad spot to chase a player at the moment, at all.
  7. I'kk kick it off by suggesting we might have another crack at Josh Kennedy from the Swans. He has 3 or 4 years left, and they have a big number of quality young mids coming through - and may be tempted if a high pick is offered up. Adam Treloar would also be a great fit, you would think?
  8. Who may we target, why would they suit us, and how would we achieve a deal for this A+ mid? LINK
  9. I cant see it happening very often. He was only thrown forward in the last quarter because Dawes and Hogan just werent creating contests and bringing the ball to ground. I can see Jamar or Fitz getting a run ahead of Dawes, before we throw McDonald forward again.
  10. Gawn is literally breaking out in front of our eyes. He'll continue to improve for 4 more years as well. He isn't going anywhere.
  11. Was trying to decide whether to peel myself off the couch and head along for the senior game ..you've just made my mind up.
  12. So Brayshaw has been best on ground in 2 of his 3 Casey games - and was still named in the bests for the third game. He's a good chance for round 1, but I wouldn't be surprised if we held him back until round 4 or 5.
  13. Brayshaw probably would have had a run in the senior side if it wasn't for his 2 x concussions late in the preseason.
  14. He didn't pull up sore - he was given a couple of days to stay behind and see family in Perth.
  15. I still haven't gotten over our interest in Tom Lynch in 2010, only for GC to take him with the pick before ours. Prenderghastly, in his wisdom, decided that our need for a tall was far greater than Brodie Smith, Shaun Atley, Jack Darling or Luke Parker - and took Lucas Cook. What a [censored].
  16. Howe and our first pick (3/4?) for whichever wantaway mid of theirs is left.. Trealor, Shiel....
  17. Good news for the MFC and good for all us toffs in the Cricket Club..
  18. I was pleasantly surprised when I watched White a few weeks ago in the scratch match. It was pretty much his first hit out after the toe thing. He is huge for a 19 year old and has a very nice left peg on him - certainly looked capable for the last guy picked on the list.
  19. If McCartney can help get Watts to the next level, it will only enhance his reputation in a big way!
  20. Fitz is in the rehab group at the moment so not surprised in not named. Terlich didnt play in last weeks scratch match, but I'm not sure what is wrong with him. Riley is the only one who's been in full training and missed out (along with Brayshaw who's had 2 head knocks in 2 scratch matches), but he's only been out of rehab for a short while so perhaps thats it?
