  1. I really hope Clark can get well and play for us again... It would be disappointing if he doesn't return...

after pinning my hopes in Scully and then Jurrah.... I'm a bit over individual players... If he can't make it, so be it....

  2. Dave Misson on the injury update with Matt Burgan said Hogan at least 2-3 away

Hogan hasn't played a game.... I'd be uncomfortable if he came in as the stand alone main man.... We need to ease him in, with the support of Dawes and Fitzpatrick (Clark)... It could real damage his confidence, if he comes in and get smashed by a number 1 defender... Hopefully Dawes is playing when Hogan comes in...
  3. Besides our injuries and depleted forward line... We really have improved, our midfield looks good... Roos identify our problem and fixed it.. Our current problem now can be fixed with players from our list... All we need is two of Dawes, Clark, Hogan or Fitzpatrick and we'd be a ten goal better side.... Even though we will lose the next couple of matches, things are really starting to look up for us....

We really need to sign Roos on for another three years... The original two/three years isnt enough... I really hope that Roos is happy and wants to finish the job that looked imposible, until he took it...

  4. Roos indicated on afl.com that Viney will play another game for Casey.

Not a great drama either way as the Eagles game is not winnable.

West Coast have definitely improved this year, they will make top 4 this year.... I'm not confident, but every game is winnable...

  5. Yes he must, he was tagged last night and they kept him out of the game, he was effectively, the only recognised forward so keep him out and you shut our forward line down.

He seemed to be playing further up the ground later in the game and did a little but not much.

Howe is a good player when he plays his role... He was competing against defensive tactics normally reserved for the best KPF in the team... When Dawes and Hogan (and Clark maybe) return, his game will pick up where it left off... He's not a Key Forward..

Watching him struggle with the double teaming defensive tactics, really showed me how important tall forwards are in the modern game...

Jeez... A couple of years ago jurrah dominated up forward alone, he would have owned this match... maybe he is a better player and a bigger loss, then i thought he was.... The delivery wasn't any better back then...

  6. It actually felt palpable in the crowd. After the first 15-20 minutes the air seemed to go out of the side and while they battled on they didn't seem to have the zest they did in the first 10 minutes.

the intensity in the first 10 min, was great... But it was never going to last.... The saints did well to contain the damage and settled into the game better... With that intensity we need to kick four goals...

  7. I said early in the week i felt it was our game to lose, and after watching the game i still don't feel as though we were outplayed, we have improved so much but it's impossible to win games if you don't kick straight, skill errors can be forgiven, missing the amount of shots we did tonight is the reason we aren't singing the song right now.

very happy with how a few of our boys played, Jack Watts looked like a Superstar, Vince is a huge pickup, Toumpas and Trengove were impressive, Nathan Jones looks even better if that was possible.

i thought we were actually playing better then the saints... In the last we had Byrnes playing as our Key forward...lol... Watching the ball rebounding out of our forward line, after all the hard work the boys put in to get it there.. Was the most disappointing part... Match day injuries killed us...

  8. When you look at the players the Saints had unavailable, it makes this win for them a highlight.

I aknowledge our bad luck, but NO other team would have lost tonight.

we should have won this.... Pederson as the main target killed us.... And did Howe play? Farout!!
  9. Well Trengove, watts, Toumpas, M Jones, N Jones and Bernie show a bit... Hate that we lost, but happy with these players... Losing Fitzpatrick in the second killed us, how do you plan for that.... Farout.... How do we win a match now with only Pederson as out tall forward... McDonald playing with injury, pretty much describes our day....

  10. Bernie is the barometer.... As soon as he was tagged out, we started to lose momentum... Watts looks great..... Trengove has stood up, need him to lift a little more... Toumpas showed abit aswell

Haven't seen Howe? Cross hasn't really set the world on fire....

  11. Who knows really? Could be anyone.... Ling would be a seemingly good choice... Tom Harley was a strong figure in turning Geelong into a power house... Brad Miller wasn't the strongest player, but as a coach, he could be made of the right stuff... Cameron Bruce might be a handy coach as well...

  12. I am staggered that Mrs Hird can dump on AD for making that (alleged) warning call to Essendon at great risk to himself of criminal prosecution. With friends like her who needs enemies.

James Hird isn't the only criminal in this case..... Funny how bomber Thompson's involvement here has been push aside? Pretty sure most involved were at Geelong with him, at some point? Also the warning call from AD reeks of full blown corruption... How did the league know to call the bombers? What else does the league allow to go on at other clubs(other elite clubs)? Are AFL matches fixed? For the sole purpose of making money? We know they fix the fixture, why wouldn't they fix the matches too? It would be simple for them... Turn a blind eye to dirty rich clubs, force the hand of umpire's and pay off the smaller clubs with hand outs...easy...

I believe the only reason we even heard about this, is because someone forgot to pay off the government....

The real victims here are the supporters.... We are the ones who pay for this [censored]... We are also the ones who have allow it to happen year in year out.... Aussie Rules is our game, not AD's or the AFL's..... IT'S OURS!!

ASADA have already cleared Andrew D of telling EFC to fess up because ASADA had not told Andrew D who the club was. Game set and match. Yet we still hear the bleating from the Hird sooks. Not once have we heard them say how angry they are that the players were subjected to the nightmare program that has engulfed the EFC.

i don't really care about ASADA or AD or JH or the bombers.... But just because ASADA didn't tell AD, doesn't mean he didn't know ;)

Wow... This thread has really moved since about 20 minutes ago.... Hmmm should i put the time in to catch up, or just move on?

  14. No Montagna, No Jack Steven, No Lenny Hayes, No Sam Fisher, No Sam Gilbert.

    Yeah I'm preeeety confident.

I'm hoping for victory, but you never know what really will happen until the final siren...

Also if you add those players to their 22, then there team is not the basket case that people are making out.... Looks like the strong leadership that we've been crying out for, for seven year...

  15. Personally, I think if Melbourne wanted to make a stronger home atmosphere, the visual path would be the one to go with. More Red and Blue, please.

Also, something like a steady roar of approval, disapproval, and involvement corresponding to events favouring or disfavouring the Demons would be good.

do you think the MFC should be asking the MCC, to change the colour of the seats?
  16. anyone else care to dig up any other comtemporary Melb forward that can compare??......dig up!, gee I thought a prerequisite was at least breathing...we are not that desperate yet are we?

clearly the perfect former demon here would be Jurrah.... Jeez Cook? Newton? Farout...
