I wouldn't want our players to have much of a connection to our supporter base. We are a battered, negative bunch. We need players who are self confident but also willing to learn from their mistakes. Let's hope we finally have that group.

I gave it to the club on the Facebook page the other day. Fancy sending out finals emails before Round 23, particularly when we could still miss out and there was a week's break in between. Would be a good replacement for Frost if he goes. Can play on small or tall, is generally composed and kicks within his limitations, and also provides really good run and carry. It's a yes from me.

Collingwood's midfield should not be beating us, particularly when Gawn is winning the majority of taps to advantage.

Yep, his decision making will continue to improve with more games experience. He is near hopeless when he doesn't take on the game, so I'll forgive one (maybe even two) holding the balls (leave it, bitters), as long as he's trying to take the game on. He's a massive asset when he's the rock in the slingshot.

Gawn plays against Collingwood and they won't get near us. The only reason they played so well against us last time is Grundy dominated that first half. Gawn usually kills him.
