  1. [censored] him. We'll beat them with him in the team.
  2. EDIT: Nope I'm thinking of the 2006 season. Lost to them in round 1 and then again later in the year. Carlton won 3 games for the season. Two against Melbourne. We would've finished 4th had we won both. We would have dislodged Sydney from top 4 and faced WC in Perth.
  3. We should comfortably dispose of Carlton and Brisbane. Nothing against those two. We are a top 4 side that needs to start getting real.
  4. This is as much a flex by Melbourne as it is to Grundy. Grundy showing Collingwood he isn't certain to be around. Melbourne showing Jackson he's potentially being replaced by an AA ruckman. The prospect of going up against Gawn and Grundy each game would be terrifying.
  5. Carltons odds are wayyyy too short. Which is actually more a reflection on us than them. Punters are confident in Melbourne but not TOO confident. Carlton should be in the $4+ range.
  6. 2 weeks. Will definitely miss Melbourne game. If we lose then regardless of Round 23 result out season is as good as done.
  7. haha they're as delirious as we are.
  8. There is a million different ways this can play out. Imo it's harder for us to miss the top 4 than make it. If Collingwood wins both of Sydney and Carlton I am loading on them for the flag. St Kilda will get a win against one of Sydney and Brisbane. We'll beat one of Carlton and Brisbane. I can see Carlton stealing one of Melbourne or Collingwood. The Bulldogs having an easy run is actually good for us as it pressures the Saints into performing. Sydney losses to the Saints. All teams need to keep winning and no team can afford to drop both. Outside of the Carlton games I'd so most battles are 50/50. We win both then it's pointless discussing. We all need to be barracking very very hard for the Saints on Friday.
  9. Watch the game for a third time. It is easily game of the year for mine. I have no idea how we lost it. But Collingwood hunt in packs. If their fitness stays up they will win at least one final. Our game is more sustainable but we can't lose any more to end the season. That's five losses now in similar fashion. We should take care of Carlton and Brisbane easily. But so we should have Bulldogs, and Pies on Friday.
  10. Langdon made a dumb comment that was poorly articulated. He was talking strategy in a pretty lowbrow, untrained sense. Saying he "got what he deserved" is pretty typical Collingwood grub. They gang tackled him, illegally. If it's normal gameday without the pre-game banter, it is a free kick 100% of the time. I want nothing more than to end their season. And end it comfortably.
  11. if we can't beat both of brisbane and carlton then we're just making up the numbers..
  12. If we can't beat this Carlton squad next week then we are definitively not top 4 capable.
  13. We're going to be 5th by the end of today.
  14. As much as I'd love to beat them in a final, playing them first round is the [censored] worst for our supporter base. We miss finals and a flag last year due to lockdowns and our first final back will have us scrambling for tickets like rats to crumbs. AFL Members is going to be a brothel. And not a good one.
  15. I can't handle waiting out on other teams to determine our fate. Win the next 2 or bust. Should never have lost to Collingwood twice, should never have lost to the Bulldogs.
  16. We'll bury Collingwood if we meet them in finals.
  17. I was in AFL Members and while they definitely outnumbered us we had a pretty decent contingency there. I'd say it was 65:35 in terms of ratio which really isn't bad. Collingwood has a lot of supporters. It's the reality.
  18. Last year is pretty much irrelevant right now. If we can't win big games down the stretch against big clubs at the MCG then our flag suddenly loses worth. We lose everything we gained. To Collingwood, Carlton, Essendon, Richmond supporters, deep down they still don't respect us as a club. We beat the Lions in Adelaide, Cats in Perth, and Bulldogs in Perth. We need to start winning big games at the MCG. Otherwise were just the Lions 2.0.
  19. I am rather astounded that they keep winning games the exact same way. Like as if teams are letting them win... Goodwin was badly outcoached tonight, and Collingwood played the MCG to perfection. The club should never allow such an extended period of time away from the MCG, ESPECIALLY not this close to the end of the year.
  20. I am so angry at the club tonight for this alone. It was SOOO obvious. We looked like we had no idea how to play the ground. The club needs to start flexing some [censored] muscle here. Even if we don't win this year. How many clubs have EVER played 6 consecutive games AWAY from their home during home and away
  21. I am okay with losing tonight. We played a good team that many (including here) have underrated for too long. It was 65 inside 50s to 41. That is a 24 difference and we still lost. That is both an indictment on our offensive and a reflection of Collingwood's defense which again has been underrated all season. Clubs including Melbourne are allowing them to clear it via the flanks and then through the corridor with nauseating ease. We haven't played at the MCG for 7 weeks and it [censored] showed tonight. The club needs to flex some muscle and make sure that never [censored] happens again. I am so [censored] at the club tonight. Collingwood 100% deserved to win. But imagine your first home game in 6 weeks being this game. We were showed up. We aren't in [censored] Perth anymore. Grow some balls next year and make sure this never happens again
  22. 65 inside 50s to 41. That's it. That's the comment.
  23. My view may be biased but Freo is setting themselves up to really [censored] the bed in their persuit for Jackson. Forcing favourite sons to retire, giving up draft picks, letting good players walk.... This has Tim Kelly written all over it.
  24. 1 kajillion dollarydoos.
  25. That's a spectacular nudge-nudge reminder from Max. Really well crafted response. He definitely anticipated questions and was ready. He's reminding Jackson how good he has it atm.
