The Ollie Whines Lounge
I must one of a few that genuinely doesn't care and enjoy seeing young kids play well. I'm admittedly angry that he's playing well while the guy we chose over him (when we appeared split between the two) can't get a kick at VFL level. But that's how drafting works. One kid got drafted into a team now destined for greatness, the other into one of the worst teams of all time. If it wasn't us that picked Toump over Wines, it would have been someone else.

Tom McDonald?
The kid is 21 and has played just over 50 games. Give him a break! He's been a key player in every one of our wins this year. His ability to beat one of the opposition's key forwards is integral to the team's ability to win a match of footy. He takes KPP and normally does quite well. That said what is it with Melbourne recruiting and developing such poor kicks in the backline? In the 00s we had Nicholson, Ferguson, Bell. Now we have McDonald, Grimes, and Garland has the occasional brain fart. I miss Anthony Ingerson.

Jimmy Toumpas
He isn't up to it? He was one of if not the best player against Geelong in HORRID conditions. The kid just struggled to play in Darwin heat after a tough outing the week before. It's not surprising. Give him a break, guys. He's played like 10 games ffs.

Jimmy Toumpas
He has played like 5 games. Give me a break.

Which MFC player have you met personally?
Andrew Obst back in about 93 at the Marketeers lunchion at the old Sheridan Hotel on Spring St. Never met another MFC player. I was about 7 or 8 at the time.

5 Minute Wonders
James Cook came from the Bulldogs in 2000. In his first senior game, against Adelaide in the Ansett Cup at Football Park, he booted 6 goals in a win on a Sunday night. We lost the following week I believe. In round one against Richmond I think it was he did nothing, then the following week against the Kangas on a Friday night he booted 6 and we mauled the roos. After that he was never seen again. Retired mid-year. Very injury prone at all 3 of his clubs, was a decent goal kicker though. Had the potential for 100 in a year, but never got the consistency of games going.
