Actually watching him right now.. and as you say he's a 'see ball / get ball' type - which is my point..he gets / gets to the ball, which usually you need to be able to read the play to do.. tho, i was actually referring to they way he reads the play in rucking / clearance situations.. he often finds a space and taps it out for himself to rove! Thats awesome.. and ive seen him rove and clear his opponents ruckwork.. again, awes.. He did it at the start of the 3rd tonite in front of goal and nearly got it, but was swarmed by the filth.. but as i was thinking earlier, every kid has one or two things to work on.. he can look lost at times, but maybe that was more a feature of last years nik-nat? Just chatting while we wait for Bleasme / tappy updates Nash.. Donnay get stroppy, grab a beer and join in the convo..

Thats probably fair enough. Didnt go into details, but as we know his kicking has been questioned, (so has scullys - they're both actually not that bad) but most kids have question marks. I was thinking ability to be the best / one of the best players in the league, whatever the 'athletic - skills' mix is.. (and we know the skill levels cant get too low anyway) I probably could of said, 'how many kids do you see with the qualities of Dean Cox and Sammy Mitchell rolled into one'? Ive never seen a kid, pre afl football, whos game grabbed me and said, 'hey your looking at the best that could ever be' - until i saw Nick Naitanui. His athleticism, marking, reading of the play, clearance work, ruck work etc.. should far outweigh what may / may not be a suspect kick for eg.. as it does now.

Nik-Nat.. by a bit too. Thats nothing against Watts either. I mean, Jack might end up being twice the player of Naitanui.. it too early to tell. But on raw ability - I havent seen anyone like nik-nat.. THE only reason, i believe, we didnt recruit him, is because somewhere along the line he must have indicated to clubs that he would prefer to stay here, (in perth), or indeed would return here 1st chance he got.

Awesome to hear! These guys would be jumping out of their skins to turn it on.. I still think Sam Blease is the 2nd best young player ive seen, (pre afl) -Liked his efforts even more than the Scully, Trenny and Watts'.

Ya beat me to it! Word of warning, it was Nathan Brown-esque, but didnt stay out of place.. THEN he tried to stand up on it - and it went sideways again!! That was ugly - but it was like he was in no pain what-so-ever!! Interesting highlight if you have the stomach for it.. EDIT: yeah, forget supercoach until the finals at least, it was pretty bad.. although it looked a clean break. (just below the kneecap)

Cheers for the updates everyone.. Casey FM didnt even get near connecting, to know if the game was on radio or not! Hope its not back to last years pathetic worst where if more than 3 people tried to tune in at once the server shat itself..

..and this is what happens with young teams. The senior players dont get the support and its like a half a team v a full team, and away from home.. What else can you expect to happen? It takes time.
