  1. No one is glorifying anything. I think your reading too much into all this. thru 2018 lenses. Wallace's comments are designed to aid us. not against us. he's not barracking for the Crows. He's a Melbourne supporter, or was. People overreacting to media stuff, is really just getting sucked into all the spin. People oughta think more often about the reverse psychology, instead of immediately jumping into fight/flight mode, over the club. We want the crows to go lever, to go the man. We want that. ... let them try. and really steel ourselves.
  2. You were just a kid, too young, to remember his games that well.
  3. He might miss next week instead ? If the ground is rock hard, it won't do him any good with that toe joint issue. They want to get him to the Bye round but I hope he doesn't aggravate this again. If he aggravated this issue again, it may well end up costing him fitness in the 2nd half of the season. This is what I want to avoid. I want our main key players all fully fit after the bye,, running into September.
  4. No sssue with that.. it was crude. But I will never put Rodney down for his efforts to try to get a longtime passive club to fire up, and learn to fight fire with fire, in a tough competition. We were all sick and tired of being the beaten up boys. Grinter is a great of afl, and Melbourne. I'm sure if you learnt of many stories of 2nd world war time, you may be disgusted by these as well. But sometimes it is, what it is,,, of the time; something that was just done; that way. It would not be tolerated today, and shouldn't be. But I do not agree with the holier than thou PC, creeping into our game these days.
  5. There seems to be some camaraderie there at Casey, because some past Casey teams may have folded with many players unavailable. I think maybe the coach is doing well.
  6. Hi Doc32. maybe it would be worthwhile to send this sentiment to both parties (Wbd & Saty), in order of fairness, instead of just the retaliator. one is a serial pest. He simply has to get better with the footy. He is being overtaken by young kids atmo. We want Tyson to get better, but his run pace and disposal have not improved much, since he arrived. I have him in the Bugg territory. Both have to use the ball much better. Tyson's list spot is in danger, unless he can do something to reinvent his game.
  7. We need Pedo for 2019. The tall utility. back forward ruck. our insurance policy.
  8. Marvel, or Martian ? Apparently the AFL are looking into a clear Perspex styled Domed Roof. Should make Marvin (Gill) very 'appy.
  9. You have not, you just named it is all.
  10. So they're list managing again,,, and they want a priority pick on top of that as well. In one of the strongest drafts that's been. Not on your nelly, blues.
  11. We owe the AFL currently, and we are re-payed home games for members ? So I'm OK with it, as long as they work the fixture to help Re our loss of condition, from Darwin.
  12. Especially at that stage of the season, just a hop step and jump into September. We need the best conditioning we can, leading into the finals.
  13. what you read the media for your info?
  14. Is this your mancave pf ? Do you have central heating? I'd like to hire t'it from you for a B&S ball.
  15. a number of reasons imc. One to return Garlett this week, and to give the lad a week off, then back next week, (to freshen him up ahead of the QB game)... both Spargo and Garlett in the side against the Bulldogs. Then we can see how the lineup looks, ahead of the Q/Birthday game... Re selection for that Matchup. After that, we enter the bye, and then the All important run home.
  16. It is now for us,,, as we try to make finals on a regular basis. When we were in list building phase, it wasn't a concern.
  17. They should not have played there at that time of year. at all. Stupid fixturing by the AFL. Its mostly to do with the excessive sweating. Even the Lions under Matthews in the early 2000's were having fluids at half time, Via intravenous drip. And that was in lowly Brisbane town. Not so far North.
  18. Yes we did thoroughly intimidated. It was a disgrace, they way we went to water under provocation. the hawks sides would have sttod tall and like a kangaroo would not have taken a backward step. We folded up the card table and left the venue. Really the only one I recall to show some fight during the intimidation's, was Schwarta. And in the game we barely fired a shot in anger. Here are some stats for that game, set for tackles... but check the other team stats. We were getting pants'd, and we were also shown how to, in tackles, as well. https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/fts_match_statistics?mid=1284&sby=6#t2 Some here think we were good, we weren't. we were not a team to truly play for one another. We were a team of talents who played as individuals mostly. And Most were soft in the physical stakes. Going through the list from this game, I would feel safe with only 9 players, to really have my back in any meaningful way. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We lost what toughness we scrapped together in the 80's, sometime thru the mid 90's. Became Hollywood pretenders, with heaps of wasted talent. This continued right thru until Roosy started to bring back some pride in our contested football style. We are on the way back to playing like Men, again,,,, but still aways to go. We are apprentices, atmo. imo.
  19. I hope, Luke Beveridge's men. Didn't you hear, he turned Dunn into a defender as well.
  20. We need to guard against Corporate Hitchhikers, and Train Jumper hobo's.
