WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
With reports suggesting that James Stewart has nominated Essendon as his club of choice ahead of Carlton, maybe we could get involved seeing as Essendon are playing hardball re: 2nd Round Picks. For example we send Garland (Patfull replacement) to GWS & Picks 29 & 57 to Essendon GWS send Stewart to Essendon & Pick 37 back to us. Essendon send Hibberd to us & Pick 41 to GWS So for us it's Garland, Picks 29 & 57 out. Hibberd & Pick 37 in. Essendon it's Hibberd & Pick 41 out. Stewart & Picks 29 & 57 in. GWS it's Stewart & 37 out. Garland & Pick 41 in.

The fact no one from Essendon has sued Dank should tell you all you need to know.

Don't think Brisbane want him anymore as they've committed to Frost. I actually think Port Adelaide would be our best bet to trade with given the early retirement of Carlisle and they're light on for tall defenders anyway, Dunn & Pick 64 for Pick 47 I think is reasonable. As for Hibberd, I have no issue giving them what is currently Pick 28 and could fall to 30.

I hadn't heard that rumor. What was said?

Unless Lumumba retires, then I'd be shocked if he isn't there next year. White had a very good year in the VFL and is still very young with plenty of upside. Again I expect him to get a 3rd rookie year.

Pretty much agree with all of the above. However I'd have no issue with moving both Dunn & Garland on. Pedersen in the gun also.

2nd round picks for Dunn & JKH??? Your name isn't Dodoro is it?

Yep, three good servants of the club who gave their all during a very difficult time. Really feel for Grimey as you know how much he loved the club.

I'm not against trading ANB, but not just for the sake of it like Dunn or Garland. Unless we can get an early 3rd Round Pick or a player that we think would specifically help our list eg Nathan Vardy (ruck/forward) then I'd rather hold onto him. The kids come 5th in the VFL B&F in his 2nd year, so we've clearly got something to work with.

Michie (Rookie), Max King (rookie), Terlich, Newton, Matt Jones, Pedersen, Dawes = delist Grimes = walk as free agent Dunn, Garland = trade for what we can get Hogan traded in worst case scenario and Nibbler if we get offered something good for him Wagner upgraded White to get a 3rd year on rookie list & Smith a 2nd year So that gives us 7 senior list vacancies (if Hogan & Nibbler stay) & 3 rookie list spots. Would allow us to trade in Hibberd and possibly one more experienced player, 4 picks at the draft and maybe a DFA. Or someone like Matt Jones may in fact get a 1 year extension.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - TIM SMITH
I've watched a lot of Tim Smith iver the last few years and have always been a fan. He's always been a very good mark, however he was very inconsistent and used to be an average shot for goal at best. His goal kicking improved over one off season however and this year he has been far more consistent, being named ar CHF in the VFL team of the year. Don't know if we'd be the team to draft him unless they think of moving Hulett to defense, as i think any key forwards we add in the off season will have an ability to play ruck or in worst case scenario and Hogan goes, be a stop gap option till Weideman's ready like Jay Schulz. Could see him walking into Richmond's 22 however as that 3rd tall forward.

Kobe Farmer
The unfortunate thing with him being a WA boy and the Wizard playing over 100 games for both the Dees & Dockers is that one suspects Freo will have the inside lane.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JOEL SMITH
From what i've seen of him, he seems to mainly shift between half back with short stints on a wing. Would love to see what he's capable of forward, but suspect he'll either be groomed for the Garland role or as a tall wingman. Or maybe both?

Given there's still restrictions on what the banned players can and can't do, he may not be allowed to officially name a club he wants to go to. Who knows?

I suspect Harmes will be moved back to Half forward and rotate through the midfied. Think he only went to half back this year due to injuries to H & Salem, Melksham's suspension & Garland's form etc. Vince I reckon will become our run with player in the midfield as Oliver, Brayshaw, Petracca etc start to take more responsability and touch wood Trengove gets back to full fitness. Hunt may also be moved onto a wing, but that's TBC. Given the above, I think White should be retained for at least one more year. Have a read back over the Casey player reports from Plapp each week. He seems a very big fan of White.

Matt Jones could be in the gun. Pedersen has been put in for early surgery which suggests he's safe. And i suspect White will get a 3rd rookie year going by Plapp's weekly write ups of his performances.

70K a year less at Essendon. They offered a trigger clause to activate a 4th year.

Garland & Pick 27 to Gold Coast Pick 22 to Essendon Hibberd to Melbourne With Gold Coasts departures they'll be a bit lighter on in the midfield and may want to move Kolodjashnij in there. That would then free up the 3rd tall defender slot who can also play small when needed. Garland fots this build, and for an experienced player who's been in another clubs leadership group, Gold Coast may be willing to fall 5 spots in the 2nd round given the amount of picks they have?
