I've seen him in most of his games both last year (part of which was during a period of recovery from a thyroid problem) and this year. He had a poor patch in the middle of the season and he needs to work on his delivery when under pressure but I think he has some good attributes and there's a lot more development in him. I'd keep.

Major kudos to Casey and Melbourne players at VFL's JJ Liston Trophy night with Tom Couch finishing runner up on 19 votes to Werribee's Ben Ross who polled three votes in the final round to win with 20. It was a fantastic result for the Demon rookie who missed five games during the season but only one due to injury. The rest, including the final game were when he was either on AFL duty or as an emergency with Melbourne. Nasher, the problem in every year since the start of the alignment has been the number of injuries at Melbourne. A few weeks ago there were about 15 or 16 AFL listed player available and that's now gone down to half that number, a situation not helped by rookie Kelvin Lawrence walking out on the Demons and Liam Jurrah not having his head into football and heading off to SA to be with his family. With Spencer no longer eligible and Jack Fitzpatrick rumored to be off for surgery, the Scorps will probably have no more than 6 or 7 AFL player for next week's game against Williamstown.
